We are not large ship cruisers and chose Equinox for a family vacation as the idea of the RCCL or NCL big ships was cringe-worthy and we wanted a more upscale experience. We needed a kids club but were not interested in a kid centric cruise line.

This cruise was perfect for a short getaway over a weekend. The port was close to home, the price was great, the itinerary packed with awesome entertainment, and the choice of excursions was plentiful. Before I even start, it bugs me so much seeing people complain about the smallest things. You get what you make out of your trip. Overall, the ship is very nice and new. Unfortunately, there were several things that we found frustrating about this family vacation first, I said our room consistently had a smell of sewage. I’m not sure why this was, but we are in the very back of the boat . And it hit you every time you walked in the room the room itself is very nice and spacious compared to a lot of other cruise lines.
