In summary, a fantastic cruise.
Recently, we've sailed with so-called budget lines (MSC\Costa) with an NCL cruise dotted in. Sometimes it's worth paying that bit extra and Princess certainly felt like that.
The quality of the food was 1st class (Bit disappointed with Crown Grill to be honest - scallops overcooked but Sabitinis was absolutely fantastic). Buffet selection was superb. ...
Thanks to Covid restrictions and other family travels, this was our first cruise in nearly 5 years. We had cruised twice before on Equinox and were a little concerned that the ship might have changed considerably. However, we needn't have worried as everything was more or less as we remembered it! Our only gripe was that most of our favourite, and quiet (!), sunbathing spots were now reserved ...
Whilst not everything on the ship is working, deck 19, the rest of the ship is fantastic. We had a mini suite. Thd cabin is well appointed, slightly disappointing that there was no coffee machine in the cabin but as we could get fresh coffee and drinks on the lido, literally just a 1 min walk from the cabin or use ocean now delivery, so not the end of the world. The restaurants are fantastic with ...
Just finished my first trans-Atlantic cruise on Oceania's new Vista. What a special experience. I have loved cruising on other Oceania vessels (Marina, Riviera, Nautica) over the years and was really looking forward to being on the new Vista and it did not disappoint. The ship is lovely, the service, food, and quality outstanding. The staff is very professional, friendly, and service oriented. ...
This was our third Oceania cruise and the first on Vista (previous ones on Marina and Nautica). It was also our first transatlantic and we were really looking forward to all those sea days – we knew it would be a much more relaxing holiday than O’s usual port intensive cruises.
We’d flown from our local airport to London, on the Sunday, staying overnight at Heathrow, then on to Miami the next ...
On Sunday, March 24, 2024 My Viking Paris & The Heart of Normandy 8 Days - Paris-Rouen-Paris River Cruise with my daughter-in-love began. Because the Seine River was too high, our beautiful Viking Fjorgyn ship had to dock at Le Pecq. We were greeted at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Air Port and taken to our ship. We were greeted warmly by the Hotel Manager and his wonderful staff and taken to our ...
We had a great time! Every detail was taken care of. What was especially helpful was the direct flight and the assistance with food prep due to my spouse having a food allergy. The maitre dee always brought the menus the night before so there were no surprises. I only wish that the second leg of the journey aboard the Hermod had been equally impressive. Unfortunately, it was not. Not once did we ...
B-to-A March 23-30 on Tialfi. With no preconceived ideas what to expect, I was blown away by our Viking experience. We did the 3-day pre-cruise in Lake Como.
One memorable detail of many that stood out was quality of local tour guides on each excursion: very knowledgeable on history from ancient times to present, culture and customs, entertaining and seemingly able to field any question the ...
This was my first cruise and I have been totally spoiled by Viking. The staff, the well appointed stateroom, food, activities - all amazing. I liken a gigantic cruise ship to a resort and a Viking Cruise to a mega road trip. If you are interested in the details, history, nature, meeting people and being spoiled, then Viking is for you. The Rhine cruise was so much fun. The staff is so willing ...
This was our first river cruise and we absolutely loved it. The ship was nice and small to navigate and the service was intimate. The cruise director was so knowledgable and friendly. The rooms were so clean and inviting. The entire ship was new and did not look run down for how old the ship was. Each meal was a 5 star meal and it was very delicious! Each destination was amazing and the ...
