A personable food service crew, with some amusing stars in the upstair buffet. The food was not a enjoyable as what we ate on the Viking Sky last year, but our fellow passengers seemed to be satisfied. Sapphire was built in 2004 and refurbished in 2018. It hold ups to 2670 passengers and up to 1100 crew. That's a nice crew to passenger ratio. This smaller ship really provides wonderful service. Wanted to see Hawaii. Twice we requested wake up calls and did not receive.Holland web site advertises Dutch Cafe 16 Dutch and Belgium beers with 4 on tap. DID NOT HAVE. The ship was nice and the cabin good size. Shore exertions good. But dining experience was not good. The selection of food not very good. No side dishes at lunch or dinner. We took a Mississippi River cruise on American Cruise Lines Oct. 3-10. It definately had the price tag of a luxury cruise but unfortunately fell very short.
