Most likely if you are reading this review, Galapagos is on your bucket list. Silversea Origin is the way to do it. You will see what you are looking for: Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, Giant Tortoises, Marine Iguanas, Land Iguanas, Blue Footed Boobies (they really have blue feet), Penguins, Sharks, Seals, and all kinds of birds. We simply cannot imagine that any other operator delivers better ...

Exceeded Expectations

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Flora

You should be aware that Celebrity Flora is unlike any other Celebrity cruise. It is an ultra-luxury, all inclusive, location specific expedition ship. What does that mean? Incredible service, incredible food, incredible included shore excursions and tours (they even provided us with wet suits for our comfort while snorkeling!) and all sorts of options. We also enjoyed two nights at the lovely ...

Preliminaries Ever since I read "The Voyage of the Beagle" in college in 1957 I have wanted to visit the Galapagos. I thought I was out of luck. I am an 83 year old woman who has been on 32 cruises, but I had a hip replacement in 2019 and can no longer navigate an airport with luggage by myself. But my daughter-in-law Kathy had always wanted to see the blue footed booby's courtship dance ...

TRIP OF A LIFETIME

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Xpedition

The Galapagos southern loop was exceptional. Traveling with reduced capacity made for a very intimate expedition. The food, service, and accommodations were beautiful. I completely understand and appreciate the care and concern from island to island, as we were asked to wash off our shoes, each time, so no seeds or poop could be transferred to another island. The talks were invaluable and ...

Su and I are experienced cruisers. Our normal choice of cruise line is small ships and very good service. We selected this cruise about 5 weeks before the start and have been pleasantly pleased with both SilverSea and more so the crew of the Silver Origin. On arrival in Quito our trip from the airport to the hotel was easy, the cab driver was outstanding and we arrived at the JW Marriott ready. ...

After learning that Silversea was starting up their cruises in the Galapagos, and it was was on the brand new Silver Origin, we decided this was a great time to finally see these legendary islands. As a brand new ship, the public areas, cabins, and overall set-up of the ship was absolutely wonderful. Seeing these wonderful islands on a small luxury cruise ship was ideal for us. The excursions ...

Maiden Voyage on Origin to the Galapagos 6/19/21

Review for a South America Cruise on Silver Origin

This was the maiden voyage for the Origin. I would recommend this type of cruise "expedition" to snorkelers who are comfortable in deep water with strong currents and for those who are agile enough to climb a moderate to difficult lava terrain. When we embarked, there was not immediate food service and we were told to wait for our keys. This was not like other cruises. The dining room staff ...

Beautiful scenery - poor communication in times of huge changes and uncertainty

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Le Soleal

Trip of a lifetime at a suitable time to a magical place on a comfortable ship. Unfortunately the ship had been damaged and required repairs in dry dock. We were not informed that there were MAJOR changes until a few days before departure. Some passengers found out about changes on arrival for departure. Communication throughout the whole process was almost non existent and totally in ...
