1. bathtub is mouldy, toilet smells like dirty public toilet. Made compliants but no improvement.
2. Everything on the ship aren’t being maintained and very dated, e.g. Pantry water tab (to wash hands) not working, not just one of them but every single one.

We chose Viking based on cruise ratings and have sailed on over 30 ocean cruises. Our review benchmark used 2019 sailings on HAL and Regent. The Star passenger areas are in good shape for the ship's age. Have cruised several times with Oceania before and they were all fine in the past.Not this time.
We have a PH Suite which was fine with the exception of the postage size bathroom.
The Spa was not serviced and kept clean and the Steam room and Jacuzzi were both warm but to HOT. No Sauna.

We booked this cruise to get home to Australia from North America. We were assured when booking that the ship was to be refurnished in early 2018.
On embarking we found a stateroom with tatty furniture - holes in the upholstery, peeling wallpaper, chips in bath and sink and bathroom mirrors degrading. The public areas were no better.
