This was an amazing cruise. My husband and I loved it. The cabin, the staff, the expedition team. The entertainment, the food, the captain, all great. The universe was cooperative in providing beautiful weather. We had the Drake Lake on our way down which allowed for a bonus landing at Deception Island. I hardly wore my hat and my glove liners were sufficient. All of the landings were fantastic ...
We enjoyed our 7 day cruise on Ovation in the Caribbean. Seabourn is truly all inclusive. Most cabins on this ship are basically identical other than location (there are a few larger cabins but most are the same). There’s no reason to pay extra for on ship experiences other than the spa or the casino or shops. We paid for a cabana in the Retreat and for a special wine dinner, but for the $ ...
We're an active, mid-forties, couple who enjoy the freedom to holiday how we want. Seabourn is a significant misfit for people like us.
First of all, there were no people like us on the boat. In five days, we think we at least saw everybody once. There was one other couple our age and they were feeling the same as we did, like misfits. The average age of this cruise couldn't have been less ...
We chose Seabourn Ovation as we wanted a small ship, quality cruise without too much formality and found the perfect match with Seabourn. We have read some other recent reviews and are at a loss to understand some of the negative and insulting comments that have been made, certainly it was not a floating retirement home when we were on board, although granted it does have a higher proportion of ...
We joined the Sojourn in LA and disembarked in Taipei at the end of the second segment of the World Cruise 72 days later. Our last trip on the Sojourn had been the last two segments of the 2023 World Cruise from the Seychelles to Barcelona, and we now have about 200 days with Seabourn. We rated the 2023 voyage overall a 9.5/10. This years we would rate an 8.5+ to 9/10, still excellent. Why lower? ...
My husband and I have traveled extensively. We have done cruises on many of the luxury lines(Crystal, Regent, Silversea and of course, Seabourn.) The last cruise we took on Seabourn on the Ovation in October of 2023 left much to be desired. Overworked staff was the main downside. We had already booked this cruise in July of 2023. I was excited to be on a brand new ship. It did not disappoint. The ...
This was our second cruise with Seabourn. We returned to Seabourn after an amazing cruise with them some years ago. What a disappointment second time round, so much had changed and not for the better.
Seabourn comes with a price tag and an expectation of 5 star luxury, sadly in our opinion it has dropped to 4! The attention to detail is gone, the personal touch no more, very average wines ...
Antarctica is a bucket list continent and after Covid-19 cancellations, we finally made it. We wanted an expedition ship with amenities beyond a basic ship and an excellent expedition team was essential. We got all this and more.
The ship launched 6 months before our trip and all the bugs appear have been worked out. The Pursuit is immaculate, as you would expect. The crew was the usual ...
After my 5 cruise in 12 month , Encore was my first time , its bit larger than the quest or odyssey but that means there is better shows and 600 pax , si I like to point out that the food was exceptional better than the 4 previous crises with seabourn , perhaps the area and quality of all the ingredients. in Asia myght have a role , the fruits on board where all incredible specially the water ...
If you've sailed with Seabourn pre-covid (I'll guess) and sail with them now - it will be a vastly different experience and VERY disappointing.
Prior to this sailing, I rated all cruise lines against Seabourn. I was an amazing experience from food to service, people and ports.
It's really sad to see how things have changed. To give you an idea, I went on a cruise with Norwegian out of NYC ...
