We tendered to the port, got on a bus, got on a boat with 80 people (we did not know there would be that many people) & took a 35 minute boat ride to the string rays, but the steering went out, so we just sat on the boat & waited for another boat, by then it was too late to do anything. Our money was refunded. It was no fault of Princess. Read Less

Again the rough weather made snorkeling more of a challenge, but they through out a 40-50' line that you could hang on to and get back to the boat when it was time to go or if you got tired fighting the waves. They also provided squid not only for the stingray sandbar, but also for snorkeling which also had some stingrays and lots of other tropical fish (Sargent Majors) were among the most plentiful. Even those stingrays came up for some squid, but the cool part was feeding the other fish. Read Less

I was ill, so I didn't actually go, but my wife did, and I've toured with this operator before. It's a small group tour, well operated, and you get to see a lot. I'd tour with them again in a heartbeat.

Did the combined Kittiwake and Cheese Burger reef snorkel. Took us half an hour from port to Kittiwake on a bit of a choppy sea. Not really a lot to see around the Kittiwake. Then half an hour back to the reef so out of the three hours we really only had under two of snorkeling time. Next time will just go to the reef. Read Less

Two stops - the reef and coral garden. The reef had bigger fish including barracuda, coral garden was more schools of smaller fish though a stingray sailed by.

Snorkel reef and wreck was only average. Did not leave the harbor. Not a sheltered area in which to snorkel so was choppy. Tour only had water to drink and was lax on safety for guests.

We snorkeled with Captain Marvins. This almost didn't happen because the port was closed shortly after we came ashore. The snorkeling group was small and we liked that.We had 2 stops on this trip and we were not disappointed.

Large roomy boat, but few places to sit down to put gear on. (We brought our own snorkel packs.) As a long-time diver in younger years, Caymans were nirvana. Unfortunately, our boat stayed nearby in the harbor. The wreck was large and interesting, with few fish. The “reef” spot was all black and gray dead reef. A quarter mile away were a number of spots with living reefs and more fish, but I guess we were saving fuel cost. Without the shorex subsidy, we’d’ve booked on our own with a smaller boat that would go out to “real” reef. Conclusion: Mediocre. Read Less

This was probably the excursion I enjoyed most. To see the schools of fish, sunken ship, and marine life around the ship; what an experience. Next time I go back, I’ll have to do the scuba trip to the ship.

Booked our Stingray City Snorkel tour with Captain Marvin, they have an office just a short walk from Pier. Our group was only 18 people, the boat had a restroom and enough shady space. When we arrived at Stingray City there were a few boats, so our captain decided to take us snorkeling first. When we came back to Stingray City the larger boats were gone and we had plenty of space and rays to ourselves - great experience, lots of fun. Can definitely recommend Captain Marvin! Read Less
