Voringfossen Waterfall: Take a coach or bus tour 30 minutes outside town to the dramatic multi-tiered Voringfossen waterfall, which cascades approximately 600 feet into a stunning granite canyon below. Tours often include a stop at Hardangervidda Nature Center, too, which showcases the flora and fauna of the area, including wild reindeer (stuffed ones). Stop for coffee and waffles at the 19th-century Fossli Hotel overlooking the falls, where famed composer Edvard Grieg once stayed and wrote his Opus 66.
