Don't Miss in Denali National Park and Preserve

Tour the Tundra: The only way to venture deep into the park in one day is to go by bus. Whether you book a guided, narrated wildlife tour to view various critters from the safety of a comfy seat on a tour bus or use the park's more affordable, un-narrated hop-on, hop-off shuttle buses to explore on foot at your leisure, you won't want to miss out on seeing the local flora and fauna. Prices for the most expensive park-sponsored shuttle option -- which will take you all the way to the end of the road at mile 92 -- are $51 for adults (no charge for children 15 and younger) and go down in price for other destinations along the route. Shuttle prices do not include the $10 park admission fee. Check with your cruise line regarding guided tour options if you don't want to go it alone; one of the narrated tour bus excursions might even be included in the price of your cruisetour.

Non-Denali Excursions: Additional tours that depart from the area immediately surrounding Denali National Park and Preserve include flightseeing, golfing and trips to visit dog sled camps, among others. Check with your cruise line for details on specific offerings, prices and booking options.
