Food and Drink in Conflict Islands

There's a bar at the island resort that serves chilled beers and slushy cocktails and a food stand that has Western-style food such as satay sticks and salads.

Beaches in Conflict Islands

The white, sandy beaches that surround the island are breathtaking. There are plenty of shady spots near the activities desk to pull up a free-to-use beach chair. The water is warm and clean, but be mindful of jellyfish and coral.

The lagoon is on the other side of the island and its wide sandbank makes it the perfect place for families with young children to play in the water.

The weather in this part of the Coral Sea is unpredictable, so be prepared for a sudden tropical storm. Always take care when swimming or snorkelling; although the water is shallow around the reef, there is a sudden drop-off and a strong undertow when away from the shore. Wear reef shoes as cuts from coral can become infected.

Don't Miss in Conflict Islands

Outrigger Canoe Tour: A truly wonderful and exhilarating experience. Climb aboard a traditional outrigger canoe with a friendly and knowledgeable crew member around the island's crystal-clear waters.
