This was our first cruise, an 11 night Eastern Mediterranean itinerary, & we booked it for a great price without knowing too much about the industry at first. Reading other reviews of the Epic on this site we were slightly worried, but we needn't have been - the ship is fantastic, & we couldn't have asked for better.
Looking at the detail of others' criticisms it seems many of the issues being ...
Worst experience i’ve ever had in my entire life. My 11 month old daughter had 3 asthma attacks while onboard because our ac wouldn’t work. They just kept saying it was fine. The housekeeping made my grandfathers bunk while we were at dinner and slung his pill dispenser off the bed, spilled all the prescription pills everywhere and left them without telling anyone it happened. Nobody knew until my ...
Chose the cruise as it was on TG holiday but it seems the rest of the world chose it also. The ship was full and 1,495 (official count) were kids…in extended families and in groups. Had not cruised RC in a few years and found the food to be okay as was service but MDR choices were more limited. My Time Dining required a reservation and only late seatings were left. We were accommodated and ...
Much needed break for the holiday.
Embarkation at Port Everglades was pretty smooth-20 minutes from Arrival to on the ship.
The Ruby had just been fixed up in dry dock. She looks good for a 2008 Grand girl.
It was really good to be back at sea. We used the Princess Plus package which was a nice option for trying drinks, I normally wouldn't have ordered. The package includes specialty ...
We cruised from Ft. Lauderdale to Panama Canal and back to Ft. Lauderdale. The embarkation was very easy and smooth. No complaints about that. We had stops in Montego Bay, Cartagena, Limon and Grand Cayman. We could have skipped Montego Bay and Cartagena. The guide on the excursion in Montego Bay just spoke about the poverty on the island. Not what we were looking for. Cartagena excursion ...
I have been on many cruises and many on Carnival. Overall, I have loved the Carnival brand. It is a good value for money. However, the Sunshine is very well past her prime. Not only is it an old ship but I found it to be very dirty. The crew also don’t seem to be as on top of their game as on other ships. Slow service and not as welcoming. The layout is bizarre. It felt more crowded and ...
We took the cruise because of our interest in the Greek islands and the ports in Turkey Two of my siblings and their spouses were excited for our 10 cruise. However our expectations were not met My overall rating for the cruise is slightly below average. The food was average at best; they had no idea on how to cook their meat entrees. Every meat entree was over cooked, except for the steak we ...
This was our 35th cruise on RCL, starting in 2002 on Explorere of the Seas. We sailed on Oasis of the Seas on its' preinaugural cruise in December 2009 and many times since. After trying for many years we finally got our family to join us. It was the first cruise for the grandchildren and only the second RCL cruise for their parents and our sons mother-in-law. We really wanted to get everyone ...
We took this cruise with minimal expectations, and were not disappointed in this respect. Embarkation was at times quite chaotic. The ship is beautiful, quite impressive. The cabin with balcony was quiet, comfortable and as expected. Room Service was not impressive, when we arrived we found that the cabin that was declared cleaned and sanitized was mostly not. But they responded quickly to our ...
I chose this cruise based on port. I traveled by bus from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. The transportation I arranged was with Trans Bridge Bus line. It was effortless to and from the pier. The only thing I would have improved is there is no area to wait at the pier for Return transportation to arrive. I had to wait outside about an hour an a half in colder temps. The embarkation and ...
