Top Notch & Unforgettable

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sky

If you want to travel to Russia the right way, do it with Viking Cruises. Viking took exemplary care of their guests, ensuring that all of us were in good hands throughout our stay in St. Petersburg. Once you get past the brilliantly-designed ship, the fantastic food and the enriching lectures - it all boils down to the destination. And Viking makes sure that the destination shines. They have the ...

Amazing cruise

I would like to comment on the excellent experience we had with my wife at Viking Sky. Before leaving, we had apprehensions regarding entertainment on board and the age of the passengers. We are not young (58 and 46 years old) but we knew that the average age was higher. The truth is that although the average age is higher, it was very nice for us to be on the boat without children or ...

Excellent Cruise Even With A Hiccup!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Viking Jupiter

Not my first Viking ocean cruise but my first on the new Viking Jupiter. While we got off on a rocky start as our ship developed a propulsion system problem leaving out of Greenwich, we were delayed 2 days in the small English port of Tilbury. Viking worked to organize a few tours in the Tilbury area, gave some onboard credit to passengers, and in general worked very hard to keep passengers ...

Beautiful “Into the Midnight Sun Cruise” on Viking Jupiter 2019

The “Into the Midnight Sun” itinerary was the answer to a long-held dream of visiting the countries of my ancestors, Scotland & Norway, & Viking’s excellent reviews & reputation sold me. As I had retired a week prior to sailing, it was the perfect way to celebrate. Embarkation at Greenwich could not have been easier & we found that everyone associated with Viking is professional, courteous, & ...

Just come back from one of the best Cruises we have ever been on.We decided to try a new Cruise line for our Journey to Norway and Iceland and went with "Cunard" Queen Victoria.Having never been with Cunard we were a bit apprehensive especially about the more Formal side of the Cruise. Embarkation at Southampton was the quickest we have ever done, from getting off the Coach to stepping onto the ...

A Major Disappointment

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Jupiter

My wife and I chose this Viking’s “14 Day Into the Midnight Sun” trip specifically because it had port stops in the Orkney and Shetland Islands and also crossed the Arctic Circle. We also chose Viking due to their reputation and positive reviews we had read. Unfortunately our trust was misplaced and we will definitely not be using this cruise line again. First, the positives: airport arrival ...

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We live in Vancouver and one night after too much wine drinking the Cunard Ad for Queen Elizabeth is coming to Vancouver showed up on my Ipad. I remember checking the itinerary and was amazed that when it left Vancouver we could sail all the way to NYC. This seemed like a very rare opportunity to come to New York the old fashioned way aboard a Cunard Liner and sail around the North American ...

Brilliant Trip to Land of the Midnight Sun

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Jupiter

We had never seen Norway and the midnight sun. We are not "cruise people" as we like outdoor adventures requiring a bit of effort, but found out we were mistaken in thinking they were lacking. There were plenty of on shore or on water activities to challenge us. We find very large cruise ships unappealing, so the Viking Jupiter, being somewhat smaller than the behemoths, was ideal. We did not ...

The Geriatric Cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We chose this cruise because it fit our time schedule for a vacation. We thought it would be exciting to be in Boston for the Fourth of July and the departure port in Brooklyn was a simple 3 Hour Drive from our home. I blame myself a little for not researching the cruise more. We booked last minute, and we thought it would just be a lot of fun. We did not have passports as we don’t travel a ...
