HEART OF THE RHINE - LOVED THE ALPS

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Tialfi

I chose this cruise because my dear friends louise and don cox recommended it. they have been on 7 previous viking river cruises. The food was fabulous, the side trips were amazing with wonderful knowledgable guides. The busses, canal boat, and train used on the side excursions were top of the line. The waiters, expecially alexandra and rudy, were super efficient and friendly; the ...

Our first Viking Cruise was canceled due to COVID. So when my friend from Kindergarten and her husband invited us to join them, we immediately said yes. The Alsvin Ship cruise and crew were amazing. Every crew member, the hosts, the servers, the receptionists, the housekeepers, the chefs, the captains, the tour guides were so very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Prior to embarking on the ship, we ...

Phenomenal Once in a Lifetime Cruise on the Nile

We were aboard the Viking M/S Antares for a Nile River cruise, round trip from Luxor. The Viking tour actually begins and ends in Cairo with land excursions. The ship has a traditional design and the interior is very warm with lots of wood and marble finishes. The french balcony stateroom was extremely large (430 sq ft) and very comfortable. Our cruise was about 2/3 full with only 44 guests so ...

Review for a North America River Cruise on Viking Mississippi

The ship was beautiful the food was excellent and service was great. Bartenders very personable and knowledgeable. The bad was the excursions. Getting from the hotel to the ship involved waiting at a lunch place for 3 hours and getting from the ship to the Memphis hotel took a 5 hour bus ride and a 1 hour wait on line to check into hotel. They should have handed out the keys on the bus as you came ...

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Tialfi

This was a dream cruise for me and a high school friend. The time of year was perfect because it became early spring and none of the towns were crowded. Saw UNESCO castles and churches and Roman ruins -- and got to know some very sweet small towns where we docked by just walking around. Everything on the ship was ideal, from room to views to tours to food. It was fun to try the regional dishes ...

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Alruna

We chose a Viking river cruise for our first ever cruise based upon research and reviews, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped onto the Alruna, we were made to feel at home. From our room steward, to all the wait and lounge staff, we were very spoiled. The cruise director was definitely an “energizer bunny” who was always helpful and on top of things. We absolutely felt as if ...

Absolutely loved this cruise! I’m a younger cruiser (39) and I had a blast. A friend and I had been wanting to tour Europe and this seemed like a good fit. I think it hit all of our expectations and even surpassed on a few. The service was outstanding. All of the staff helped to make for an unforgettable vacation. The food was superb. I loved the regional specialities. The cabin is small but very ...

I was sick most of the time and had little to no access to meds. I came home with Covid. Testing and meds were not available on ship. The ship was nice, clean and rooms well appointed, if not very small. The weather was cold, so the balcony wasn't really used. The food was good and the cruise director was excellent. The staff was very friendly (except for front desk), remembered names and ...

We have always wanted to visit this area to view not only the beautiful sights, but also to learn about the culture & history. We certainly were not disappointed. Our Viking tour guide Bic Tran gave us a true insight into Cambodia & Vietnam. She gave us an insight into the wars In both Vietnam ( based on her families experience) that you would never get in history books. Her prospective of what ...

Egyptian history in a nutshell

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Viking Osiris

The Viking Osiris is a great Nile River ship, intimate, new, and designed for this service. Take advantage of all optional trips, especially the hot air balloon at dawn over the Valley of the Kings and the trip to Abu Simbel. The days are long, with little down time, but you cover a lot of history. The boat is relatively informal, no need to dress for dinner, etc., as you may be just coming ...
