We sailed on the Oceania Regatta out of Miami for the Western Carribean. While we had been to several of these ports before, a few were new to us (Costa Maya, Belize, Roatan). We like the smaller, R-class ships because there are fewer people, more staff-guest ratio and they can call at smaller ports. We have travelled on both the Regatta and Nautica before. Embarkation was easy, no-waiting ...

This was our first commercial cruise. We have cruised extensively on our 43' sailboat, so we are used to boats. We are so delighted we chose Oceania and PH stateroom. The ship was lovely, the cabin spacious with a lovely balcony. Our butler Claudiu was wonderful as was the stewardess Snezanu and Manuel. There was not one person we came in contact on this cruise that was not gracious and helpful. ...

Ship — nice size, well kept, we liked it; never felt crowded except competition for lounges at the pool was stiff due to scarcity Cabin – good except for the cramped shower stall Food — very good to excellent food and service throughout, except in Toscanna the first night where both food and service were seriously lacking; excellent coffee drinks at Barista Service — everyone was unfailingly ...

A country girl at my core, I grew up without a lot of pampering. Much later in my life I was wined and dined and began to experience ‘the finer things’. But still I’ve always said I neither need nor want what I laughingly call ‘froo froo extras’. Still, a girl can sure can get used to a little pampering. No review makes a lot of sense without knowing the author a bit. We began cruising in the ...

I've spent years trying to convince my husband to take a cruise. With our 20th wedding anniversary approaching, I finally put down my foot and told him we WOULD take a cruise to celebrate. I was concerned that 10 nights was too long for his first cruise experience, but HE LOVED IT! We agree that this was the best vacation either of us has ever had. We are both highly critical of what passes ...

The Suite: This was our second voyage on an Oceania ship , our first having been on the Nautica in concierge stateroom with a terrace. We decided to splurge this voyage to the Caribbean ( Mayan mystique) 10 days and went for the owners suite ( our first foray into the high-end suite. We arrived around 1:30 PM and were in our suite at 1:35. The suite was gorgeous , has it had been ...

This is our first cruise aboard an Oceania flagged ship- the Regatta. We were encouraged to try this ship from our friends (60-ish) whom cruised on this same ship last year (2010) on the Eastern Caribbean run. They encouraged us (mid-50's) to join them this year for the Western Carribean leg, so we did. We have previously sailed aboard Carnival, Princess, & RCCL over the last 20 years. We ...
