Brilliance of the Seas - April 14/08 13 night Transatlantic This was our second cruise on the Brilliance, our first having been in 2004 in the Med. The Radiance class ships are our favorite. They are just the right size for us without being too big. We're not keen on the "shopping mall" effective of the Voyager size which is also not to say we wouldn't do one like that again. We arrived in ...

I have been meaning to write this review for a couple of weeks now. Just have not had the time. I think we need another holiday! We started the cruise with a nice and relaxing six days at sea. We always prefer to have a long time on the open waves. No rushing, nothing to get up for. We prefer sitting in the sun and take pleasure in the pools and hot tubs. There is also a beautiful place to go ...

Background: I am in my mid-50s, and my wife is in her late 40s. My wife is a former travel agent, and had done some cruising before we met. This was our 5th cruise together, having formerly cruised on Holland America, Celebrity, and Carnival. My wife had also cruised NCL previously. This was our first Royal Caribbean (RC) cruise, and our first transatlantic. My oldest sister-in-law and her oldest ...

We flew out of Edmonton on Saturday April 14 to Toronto and then to Miami arriving Saturday afternoon. We checked into the Greenview Hotel on Washington Avenue which we had reserved for two nights at $89.00 a night. The hotel was quite old; being built in 1939 but was very clean and had an excellent complimentary breakfast. There was a good shopping area close to the hotel with lots of outdoor ...

Embarkation in Miami was quite swift. There was a separate section for Platinum/Diamond and Suite members. There were sections set up for different sections of the ship but few people were respecting the queues. This is our first balcony cabin. The room was tastefully and efficiently setup. The rounded corners of the bed was a surprise for us. The bedding was new and upgraded. The ship was laid ...

Not So Brilliant Brilliance of the Seas. My husband and I just returned from a trans-Atlantic cruise on RCLs Brilliance of the Sea. And, while we had such a good time we are already planning our next trans-Atlantic cruise, we intend to go on another line. Our only previous cruising experience was with Carnival. Since general opinion seems to be that Carnival is at the bottom for quality, we ...

Just returned from our spring crossing to Europe onboard the beautiful Brilliance Of The Seas. We started in Miami Apr 29th for our 13 night sailing to Barcelona with stops in Funchal(Madeira), Lisbon, Malaga and Villefranche. - The Ship: The Brilliance just got out of dry dock the day prior to sailing and looked brand new inside. Everything was clean and was being kept that way. - Embarkation: ...
