Chose this cruise to enjoy Fall color and to see ports of call that would be primarily populated with "locals" at this time of the year. There were a significant variety of optional tours which we took advantage of. The tours were well managed and fun. Weather turned out to be very pleasant, which allowed for full use of outdoor activities on board and off. We extended our stay at the final ...
We enjoyed most of the cruise although we did not like getting into Canada at 9:30 at night. The airport was somewhat confusing in giving us directions to meet up with Viking reps. The guys on our floor were great - when they found out we had just gotten on the ship and had not eaten they brought up sandwiches and wine. Impressed.
The room was great - my favorite point was the heated ...
Chose the cruise because of interest in the ports of call and travel on the St. Lawrence River and Sound. Dining and service were excellent as usual. One disappointment was the change from PEI to Gaspe. I see that PEI is on the cruise for 2018.
Shore excursions were generally good. Boston and NY were not as enjoyable because of the very heavy traffic.
Viking also does an excellent job with ...
Cruise was OK. Not all ports of call listed were visited. Some changes were made. Port at embarkation was in Industrial Area and not within walking distance of anything. Very disappointed. Also, on arrival in New York, we docked in another Industrial area and had to be bused into the city which took up time we could have used for other activities. The ship was almost new so there was not any ...
The Viking Bar was our favorite hangout; we had excellent service from Jan, Natasha and Nicola. Our favorite restaurant was The Chef's Table with it's five course dinner with wine pairings. Since the menu changes every three days, we were able to enjoy the experience five times. We also enjoyed Manfredi's with it's excellent selection of Italian entree's. The lamb chops were our favorite.

We chose this cruise to see some fall color along the St Lawrence and New England. We were too early to see that but timing of that is always a gamble. We were really wanting to see Charlottetown but a few weeks before our sailing we were notified that due to newly imposed speed limits on the St Lawrence the itinerary would be changed to omit Charlottetown and add Gaspe. This was disappointing. ...
The all-inclusive price makes sailing aboard a Viking ship or riverboat that much more enjoyable. One does not have to worry about how much more a meal or activity or entertainment would cost. The ship is constantly kept in immaculate condition inside and out. It was good to see our ship looking to clean and sharp when she was docked next to another cruise ship. Because the ship is not packed ...
We had sailed on this ship earlier this year in Europe. We saw many of the same crew members, who remembered us. The major cities visited - Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Boston and NYC - were very special. Tours were generally quite nice and informative.
Because of speed restrictions on the St. Lawrence by the Canadian government, we were unable to get to Prince Edward Island. We went to ...
