Fantastic 1st time cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

I had read a lot of bad reviews and was a bit worried if our so much wanted cruise would be as exciting as we anticipated. Yes, it was. Let me first note that we were first time cruisers. Joined Meraviglia from Naples, Italy. The embarkation was a bit frustrating as there were no clear signs where is the drop of luggage section - it appeared to be in the other wing of the port. Then we waited ...

MSC Meraviglia – 13th to 20th November – Naples to Civitavecchia Background We had booked this cruise for a number of reasons, the first being that even though we have visited the majority of ports on the Western Med circuit we had never visited Naples. Knowing that we would like to see Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento and some of the other main attractions, this itinerary meant we could spend ...

The year before our family went on MSC Armonia for our first cruise. The ship was full but it didn't feel crowded and the food wasn't fantastic but we enjoyed it, esp the pizzas. The entertainment was good. Overall we enjoyed it. So when we heard about MSC's new and biggest ship we thought it would be very special and much better than the one we went on so we booked it. We waited for hours to ...

Beautiful ports of call. Excellent service. Stateroom was the best ive been on. 10007. Only 10 like it on ship. Corner deck with jacuzzi. Suite. 2 sliders on deck. Food was excellant. Very different embarcation, almost lik e a hop on, hop off. Not all passengers embark and disembark at one port. We embarked in Naples, a bit confusing and inconvienent. I suggest Genoa. Reviews prior were very ...

For my next travel we will chose another dates because we don't want to travel in a ship where there are a lot of children whose parents don't look after them. Jacuzzis with children jumping, children arguing, running without education. We don't like the places that MSC goes, for example Marsella!!!! I prefer Villefrance or Niza. Napoles is a dirty city and If you have been in Napoles and You ...

Our previous cruise experiences were with Thomsons, NCL, Carnival and Disney. Ship – fantastic, big, bling and fitted out top quality stuff all over Embarkation /disembarkation – Smooth and efficient as all ports are embark / disembark Food – poor Service levels – high Shows – Cirq du Soleil (extra cost) very good. Others a mixed bag. Lots of music and bands playing at various ...

The only good thing about this experience was the ship, it is new. that is it. The entertainment is a joke, the food is horrible, they nickel and dime you, you have to even pay for water. They recently changed it for American market to which water is free. Watch out for $10 a day per person for service charge. They do not tell you unless you asked for the bill. Are you kidding me? Stay away from ...

Dear cruisers, suffering from celiac disease. My children and I are suffering from celiac disease, and because of this, since we have been diagnosed, we only cruise with MSC, as it is the only monitored by the Italian Society for Celiac disease. I have to tell you that although food is great , without any objection, I have to comment on our dissatisfaction. As you just know on all the cruise ...

First of all the good news, it s a beautiful ship! Cabins are very nice and quiet. Other positive point is the entertainment team, it s a big team and most of them are really nice, except for the italians...unfortunately, like all the italians on board, they lost their friendly attitude somewhere and they give you the feeling they are far better than the rest of the world. All the ...
