What An Experience!!!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

This was my first longer cruise, going from and to places I'd never been before, on a ship the size of which I had never been on before. My first sight of Navigator of the Seas..."holy cr**!" Big was understating it - it was HUGE!!! Travelling with mobility issues makes it harder these days, but not with this cruise! From the moment we entered the cruise terminal in New Orleans, the staff of ...

So all in all a good cruise with all the typical good service from RCCL. Quick notes are that they really have very limited support for kids under 3 on most of the boats below the Oasis class. We were limited to $20/hour child care in our state room and 2-3 1 hour periods with a kid's staff member in the tot room. The also had bags of lender toys which was good but our tot got board with them ...

Review of Navigator of the Seas, Transatlantic voyage April 6 through 21. 15 days, with stops in the Azores, Toulon, and Livorno on the way to Rome. Embarkation: The cruise port in New Orleans is very close to downtown and the French Quarter. Access is very narrow, but we arrived early enough that there were no crowds. Our baggage was collected immediately. The baggage handler asked for ...

I sailed with my wife and my 4 year old daughter. Boarding the ship took about one and one-half hours. I had arranged for our stateroom to be decorated for my daughters birthday and our anniversary. We arrived at our stateroom to find it beatifully decorated with a not for my wife and daughter from me. A great way to start the trip. I have been disappointed in the past by other cruise lines. ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

This was the largest ship we ever sailed on & despite having sailed frequently, was our first on Royal Caribbean. We spent 3 days before we boarded the ship in New Orleans to put us in the vacation mood & it was wonderful. The trip was booked by our travel agent & transfers back to the airport were prepaid. Royal Caribbean had no record of this! First off their website was difficult to ...

We flew into New Orleans the night before the cruise left. Stayed at an Airport Hotel and then had a taxi pick us up and take us straight to the cruiseport. Getting onto the ship was a breeze (platinum class helps) and then we took our first time cruiser on a quick tour of the Navigator of the Seas. This was our third trip on a Voyager class ship so began to feel like we knew our way around. ...

We have been on over twenty cruises on eight different cruise lines and are platinum members with Royal Caribbean. We are in our early sixties and very active. I am very picky when it comes to food and service on a ship, so I will not hold back. Fortunately I have very few negative comments about this cruise. The check in process was short and easy, but the young man checking us in was not ...

Embarkation in New Orleans was quick and easy. From drop off till boarding was about fifteen minutes. Be sure to arrive a day or two before your cruise to enjoy the many offerings of New Orleans. The music, food, and vibe are well worth the extra time and money. This was our first cruise on the Navigator, so we were excited about exploring the ship. Each Voyager class ship is the same ...

Great spring break cruise

We sailed on Navigator out of New Orleans on the March 30, 2013 sailing. There were 4 adults and 2 kids, both under the age of 12. It was spring break. We drove to New Orleans a day early because my wife and kids had never been there. We arrived at the port about 10:00. We parked in the "whale lot" at the pier, at a cost of $16 per day. We were onboard by 11:00a. This is our 3rd cruise with RC. ...

My first and possibly last cruise with RCI

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

Don't get me wrong. It wasn't an absolute horror story cruise. But having tried other destinations with other cruiselines, this trip fell short for the dollar. My initial impression of RCI is that it's for the 18-30 crowd. There were MANY highschool/college aged kids running around, as well as kids 6-16. Maybe not a family oriented at Carnival, but definitely not catering to the Celebrity ...
