Carnival Vista Review I was on the repositioning cruise on the Carnival Vista from 11/16 to 11/27 I know many are curious about the ship so I wanted to put out a detailed review that I would have liked to have known about before I sailed. I hope this information is helpful! Good stuff: 1. The ship is beautiful the color scheme is one of the nicest I have been on. 2. Family harbor ...

Check out my video of Nov 2016: The inaugural USA cruise of Carnival Vista from NY City to Miami FL (repositioning) showing the entire new ship and it amenities. See John Heald at the Diamond members luncheon and a tour of the ship's galley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JamtHPe_U0M Great new features: Seafood restaurant was wonderful as the Pig & Anchor sea day bar BQ The Sky ...

Wonderful ship, amazing 11 day voyage

This was my 29th Carnival cruise. If I was blindfolded and placed on the ship, I would not have been able to recognize it as a Carnival ship by the interior decor, which was pleasing and tasteful. But when I saw the plastic trees on Lido, I could guess Carnival correctly. I liked the dual atria, with its conical, changing vortex of color. The older Carnival atrium are much taller or higher than ...

Our family of five sailed on Carnival Vista on the repositioning cruise from New York to Miami 11/16. We were myself (46), DH 49, DD 14, DS 11, and my MIL (75+). This was our third Carnival cruise as a family together, but DH and I had each cruised Carnival and other lines as well previously. After polling all members of the family, we can say that this was without a doubt our favorite cruise ...

We had a wonderful vacation on the 11 Journey cruise from NYC to Miami over Thanksgiving. It was just myself (43 year old mom) and three sons (15, 13 and 10 yr). This was our third Carnival family vacation, but I have sailed on a dozen cruises on multiple lines. We had an Ocean Suite and it worked for us. The room had plenty of storage and was well arranged to make the most of the space. ...

I love Carnival, they are truly the Fun Ships! The Vista was absolutely beautiful. I loved everything about this cruise I am so thankful to have been a part of this re-positioning cruise and to have John Heald travel with us. Matt our cruise director and his crew were outstanding. The shows were magnificent. As a Cuban-American I was very happy with all the Cuban touches all around from a show to ...

We choose this cruise for thanksgiving. It was leaving from nyc which is very easy to get to. It's a new ship. Embarkation was a little slow. Didn't board until 1:30pm A lots of things to do. Plenty places to eat. The guys burger joint is good. The pig and anchor is very good. The room attendant was very friendly. The refrigerator in my room didn't work. The bartenders at the back pool was very ...

New Ship/New Crew

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Vista

We wanted to go on a New ship not just refurbished. The ship itself was nice, enjoyed the new layout. More decks with things other than rooms on them. Staff seemed to be very confused as if this was their first cruise. That was in all aspects of the ship from dinning staff to casino help. I asked one person where the nearest bathroom was and was told they did not know.... Maybe employees ...

Repositioning cruise on the Vista was the best!!

We choose this cruise because it was on the new Vista, because it was a Journeys cruise of 11 days, and because we would be sailing out of the beautiful NY harbor at night. Our only 2 disappointments were: many fewer (6) hot tubs on this ship, although there were 2 thousand extra people, and they don't have the YTD down yet and we had very slow dinners each night. This being said, this was ...

I was very excited to have the opportunity to cruise on the Vista. However, not crazy about sailing out of NY this time of year and it took 2-1/2 hrs. to get from LGA to the port on the shuttle. Check-in was chaotic, but I think this was a first for this port and everybody got through it. We had an inside cabin which was okay, but there is very little storage space and had to be careful opening ...
