Worst Cruise Yet

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Quantum of the Seas

How to ruin a great ship, add lots of dinning rooms, charge extra for most, add more reservations, provide lousy service, call it dynamic dinning. Be aware menus repeat after only a few days in the complimentary dining rooms. Entertainment, Mamma Mia, reservation was not available when we finally got out of the dining room, so we missed that performance. The other two main shows were not ...

Our family of 4 (two 8 yr old boys) have sailed RC a few times before and have always been delighted. To save up $ for vacation and look forward to it as the months wind down is always so exciting and bonds our family. From the moment we got on this ship, I've wanted to cry from all the stress, rudeness of crew and other passengers, ineptness of how the boat should function, etc. It has been ...

My wife and I booked this cruise with my boss and co-workers family's. This was our 10th Royal Caribbean cruise (best ship is the Allure hands down). We departed Cape Liberty New Jersey. It's the first time we've drove to the ship as we usually fly to Florida but this time the location lent itself to driving it from Michigan. Great choice. The drive was great and the parking is so easy at the ...

nice sip, well laid out on the inside. outside is a different matter. I like to go outside on the deck that goes around the ship. you know, the deck usually on the deck where the guest relations desk is. I like to stand at the railing and watch the world go by, or sit in a lounge chair and take in my surroundings or read a book. not on this ship. they have machinery and lifeboats in the way and ...

My Worst Vacation Ever. I'll Never Cruise Again

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Quantum of the Seas

Here's my review of Quantum of the Seas almost exactly as it was submitted to Royal Caribbean when they solicited on their post-trip survey. Where do I start? 1. Parking prior to boarding. Why is it necessary to have people wait 40 minutes in a single file line of cars to get into the long-term parking lot? Why was only one lane open for all cars when Royal Caribbean knew it was expecting ...

Ship was almost brand new when I sailed with a friend who had never cruised before. I have to say, the ship was difficult to get around on, lots of dead-ends and limited outside deck space. Some of the cool tekkie things weren't working, like the robotic bar tenders. Art work was really strange (a more sophisticated person would say avant garde) like the plates with the blinking eyeballs near one ...

We were on one of the early Quantum cruises. We left Cape Liberty. Nice big terminal. First go through the "TSA" scanning equipment -- several stations. We were suite guests, but there were no special lines for such people. But no matter. There wasn't that much of a line. Looked for the so-glad-you're-cruising-with-us smiles, etc. Don't remember any. I will say the senior citizen helpers wearing ...

We sailed on the Quantum of the seas from Cape Liberty on the 12/01/2014 on her first Caribbean cruise and I can say without Hesitation This will be our last cruise on her or any of her 2 sister ships we did not like Dynamic Dining and missed the MDR trying to book dinner and organize shows was just too hard and often overlapped so you were rushing to eat your food and then make your shows (if ...

Quantum of the Seas was a Disappointment

We have done many maiden/ inaugural voyages with RCCL. We expected some glitches, but all turned out well in the past. Booked Quantum of the Seas along with our daughter's family approximately a year and a half ago. Prior to the sailing date whenever it was time to reserve something for the cruise I was unsuccessful doing it on line and with a RCCL representative on the phone. The common answer ...
