(3:25 p.m. EST) -- Avalon Waterways has revealed plans to launch a new "suite ship" -- named Avalon View -- that will traverse Europe's Rhine River beginning in 2020.

Avalon View will follow the river cruise line's popular suite ship design, which features more-spacious-than-average accommodations with retractable floor-to-ceiling windows and window-facing beds. It will be the line's 14th ship in Europe and its 17th worldwide.

A sister ship to Avalon View -- Avalon Envision -- is slated to be christened in April 2019 by godmother Elizabeth Gilbert, author of "Eat Pray Love," on the Danube River. Both ships will measure 443 feet long and include two Royal Suites (300 square feet) and 65 Panorama Suites (200 square feet) on two full decks, as well as 16 Deluxe Staterooms (170 square feet).

Cruise Critic has named Avalon Waterways "Best for Cabins" in river cruising, for the past four years, in its annual Editors' Picks Awards.

Although additional details of Avalon View have yet to be revealed, we do know Avalon Envision will boast a navy-blue hull and elegant decor; a top-deck whirlpool and Sky Lounge; and an onboard Adventure Center with bicycles, active gear, Nordic walking sticks, maps and other outdoor items available for use.
