(3:25 p.m EST) -- Windstar Cruises is now taking bookings for the inaugural sailings of Star Breeze and Star Legend, after the ships emerge from a $250 million revitalization program. The program will see the stretching, upgrading and re-engining of the line's three Star-class vessels.Star Breeze will be the first ship to emerge from dry dock, kicking off with a 10-night Central America cruise from Miami to Colon, Panama, on March 20, 2020; the itinerary marks the line's first-ever departure from Miami.From Colon, Star Breeze will offer a series of Panama Canal & Costa Rica cruises before repositioning to southern Mexico. It will traverse the Baja Peninsula and Sea of Cortez, eventually making its way up California's west coast, for a James Beard-themed cruise that will include a maiden call in San Diego.The ship will head north to Alaska in May 2020, where it will spend its summer season. In fall and winter 2020, Star Breeze will reposition to Asia, exploring ports throughout China, Japan and Southeast Asia.Meanwhile, the refurbished Star Legend will debut July 2, 2020 with a cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon. The ship will continue to sail throughout Europe, for the remainder of 2020.Standout itineraries include fall cruises in France's Bordeaux and French Riviera; a cruise that visits Portugal, Spain, Britain and Ireland; round-Iceland as well as Ireland and Iceland itineraries; a Greek Islands and Turkey sailing, with stops in Crete and Istanbul; another Greek Islands cruise that also touches on Israel and Egypt; and an Athens-to-Rome itinerary with stops in Delphi, Greece, as well as Malta. Inaugural itineraries for the line's third Star-class ship, Star Pride -- which enters dry dock in late 2020 -- have not yet been revealed.
