(6 p.m. BST) -- Spanish chef Jose Pizarro, Norwegian chef Kjartan Skjelde and photographer and cook Marte Marie Forsberg have been revealed as P&O Cruises' Food Heroes for new ship Iona.

The line has also revealed a brand-new dining venue that will debut onboard Iona called Taste 360.

Jose -- who is well known in the UK where he has four restaurants in London -- is set to design signature Spanish dishes for Taste 360, as well as a tapas menu for The Glass House.

Kjartan is creating a six-course Norwegian tasting menu for the ship's Epicurean restaurant, while Marte Marie is also designing a selection of dishes for Taste 360. Norwegian dishes will also appear on the menu in the main dining room.

The 5,200-passenger Iona will spend its maiden summer season in the Norwegian Fjords and its maiden winter season in Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands -- with the three new Food Heroes and their respective cuisines complementing itineraries in these destinations.

Jose, who co-founded the popular Brindisa restaurant chain, said: "The ethos behind my menus is to use top quality, local produce so that the flavours of the region come to life with every mouthful.

"Working in collaboration with P&O Cruises, I'm excited to bring this dining experience to Iona. From the spicy scent of saffron rising from a bubbling pot of paella in Taste 360, to the rich extra virgin olive oil and smoky pimenton at the base of each dish in The Glass House – guests will truly be able to taste the region during Iona's holidays to Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands."

P&O Cruises president, Paul Ludlow, said: "One of the best ways to explore a destination is to try the native dishes that tell stories of the history, culture and lives of the locals. Our new local food heroes will be champions of fresh, seasonal ingredients and recipes that fly the flag for their homelands.

P&O's existing Food Heroes -- chef Marco Pierre White, patissier Eric Lanlard and wine expert Olly Smith -- are currently taking part in a series of sailings in the Norwegian Fjords on the line's flagship Britannia.

Later this month, Marco Pierre White will lead a shore excursion to visit Kjartan Skjelde's restaurant, Fish & Cow, in Stavanger. Passengers will visit a local farm to select seasonal ingredients before taking part in a cookery class at Fish & Cow.

Earlier this year the line also revealed a new series of guest chefs set to join Britannia's Cookery Club on select 2019 sailings, including chef and presenter of BBC's "Saturday Kitchen" Matt Tebbutt, chef and author Sabrina Ghayour, chocolatier Paul A Young and Michelin-star chef Robert Thompson. Each chef will offer masterclasses in The Cookery Club, take part in Q&A sessions and book signings and host dinners at the Chef's Table.
