(12:10 p.m. BST) -- The nation's appetite for cruise-themed entertainment television shows no sign of waning with Channel 4's five-part "Shipmates" series launching this Friday, July 5.
The late-night reality show follows the escapades of two teams of friends who joined a chartered sailing -- Anchored — The Festival at Sea -- in June 2017 in the Med.
"Shipmates" will follow the teams as they battle out a host of challenges to win a luxury holiday to Bali, with fellow passengers voting for their favourite team.
Pool parties, DJs and Champagne spraying competitions ensued onboard the Anchored cruise, with Cruise Critic describing the sailing at the time: "Champagne corks are popping all over the main pool area on Deck 11... a slick of bubbles on the floor, gorgeous 20-something girls in thong bikinis and high heels are showering in it -- it's even mixing with the chlorine in the Jacuzzis.
"The aim? To set a record for the largest Champagne spray party at sea."
Episode one airs at 11:05 p.m., Friday, July 5, on Channel 4.
