(12:45 p.m. EDT) -- Cruise newcomer Atlas Ocean Voyages today announced that it is adding four additional ships to the fleet.

The U.S.-based line, which is launching in 2021 with World Navigator, will debut the quartet of new ships in 2022 and 2023.

World Navigator, which will carry 196 passengers, is currently being constructed in Portugal to sail on itineraries in Europe, and will be joined by World Traveller and World Seeker, both launching in 2022, and World Adventurer and World Discoverer in 2023.

The Fort Lauderdale-based company brands itself as a "luxe-adventure" all-inclusive line and is currently offering 10 itineraries, ranging from seven- to 15-nights, in the Holy Land and Eastern Mediterranean, Western Mediterranean and Black Sea. Sailings on World Navigator are now on sale and Atlas Ocean Voyages says the fleet expansion will allow it to offer more itineraries in other regions.

President Alberto Aliberti said: "We're happy to expand our fleet to five Luxe-Adventure cruise ships to sail under the Atlas Ocean Voyages brand. The immediate and positive response from the travel advisor community and early sales of World Navigator's inaugural 2021 season has played an important part in our decision to increase our capacity."

The ships will feature 98 oceanview suites and cabins, the majority with a private balcony. Fares will include all meals, snacks and drinks, shore excursions in selected ports, Wi-Fi and gratuities.
