(7:34 a.m. EST) -- Regent Seven Seas took delivery of its newest luxury cruise ship, Seven Seas Splendor during a ceremony at Fincantieri's Ancona shipyard.
In attendance at the handover were Regent Seven Seas' president and CEO Jason Montague and Luigi Matarazzo, general manager of the Fincantieri Merchant Ships Division.
The 750-passenger Seven Seas Splendor is an all-suite ship with accommodations starting at 219 square feet (plus an 88-square-foot balcony) and maxing out with the Regent Suite, which measures a whopping 3,026-square-foot, two-bedroom suite with double balconies spanning 1,417 square feet.
The Regent Suite also features a $200,000 bed, the most expensive bed at sea.
Seven Seas Splendor will debut February 6, 2020 with a transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to Miami. It will be christened in Miami on February 21 by godmother Christie Brinkley.
Seven Seas Splendor is a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer; a third ship in the class will be delivered by Fincantieri in 2023.
