(11:35 a.m. EST) -- Amadeus River Cruises will build a new riverboat set to debut in 2021 along the Danube and the Rhine in Europe.

Amadeus Cara will debut in April 2021 and carry 168 passengers. The ship will offer 72 standard cabins and 12 luxurious Amadeus Suites. Cabins situated on Mozart and Strauss decks will be outfitted with panoramic balconies with electronic drop-down windows.

The 17th ship in the Amadeus fleet, Amadeus Cara will feature a forward-facing glass-enclosed River Terrace at the bow of the ship, along with an expanded outdoor deck space aft of the rear lounge. Additional features include a small massage area and hair salon, and a fitness center.

When it debuts, Amadeus Cara will operate itineraries on the Danube from Passau in addition to lower Danube sailings that travel to the Black Sea. It will also sail itineraries that travel as far west as Amsterdam on the Rhine.

This year, Amadeus River Cruises will take delivery of its 16th ship, Amadeus Imperial. Last year, the line welcomed another new river cruise ship, Amadeus Star.
