(Updated 11 a.m. GMT) -- The final episode of "Cruising with Jane McDonald" airs tonight on Channel 5, which will see the presenter travel to the stunning destination of Alaska onboard Holland America Line's Nieuw Amsterdam.
(10:55 a.m. GMT) -- Jane McDonald returns to her cruising roots this month in a brand-new TV show called "Cruising with Jane McDonald" -- launching on Channel 5 this Friday, February 10.
The four-part series starts with McDonald exploring MSC Cruises' 4,345-passenger MSC Divina on a seven-night Caribbean cruise, with viewers getting a behind-the-scenes look at the ship as it sails from its Port Miami base.
The episodes that follow will see McDonald explore a variety of different cruising styles and locations, including a mini-cruise to the Inner Hebrides and the Isle of Mull on the Majestic Line's Glen Tarsan; a river cruise on the Danube onboard Uniworld's S.S. Maria Theresa; and an Alaskan cruise on Holland America Line's Nieuw Amsterdam.
McDonald -- who shot to fame in 1998 in the reality TV show "The Cruise" -- will set out on a journey to discover how cruising has changed since her years as a cruise ship performer, while revealing why it continues to be a popular holiday choice for millions of Brits each year.
Managing Director of MSC Cruises UK & Ireland, Antonio Paradiso, said: "We hope that viewers are inspired by the show to consider taking a cruise and it is a great introduction for those who are new to cruising, showing them what they could experience -- exploring the world and creating unforgettable memories."
Cruising with Jane McDonald launches at 9 p.m. on Channel 5 on Friday, February 10.
