(5:47 p.m. EDT) -- Tony Award-winning Broadway musical "Hairspray" will headline the main theater entertainment on Royal Caribbean's fourth Oasis-class ship, Symphony of the Seas, slated to debut spring 2018. The line revealed the news today on its PR Twitter account.

Details of which musical numbers would be included, as well as costumes and special effects, have not yet been made public. However, in the Tweet, Royal Caribbean described the new show as being "bigger-than-ever" -- comparing it to Oasis of the Seas, which ran "Hairspray" from its launch up until 2014, when it was replaced by "Cats."

Symphony of the Seas will feature a combination of features from Royal Caribbean's Oasis and Quantum classes, similar to Harmony of the Seas. Among them will be the Boardwalk and Central Park "neighborhoods," the Bionic Bar and the Ultimate Abyss slide.

After launching, the ship will offer Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona; it will then reposition to Miami and sail the Caribbean.
