Anyone who has ever dreamed about running away to sea has the chance to win just that -- for a whole year -- at this weekend's Daily Mail London Cruise Show.
Storylines, a company creating a private residential community at sea, is offering the chance for the lucky winner and a partner or friend to travel the world on an all-expenses-paid year at sea worth more than £175,000. Anyone visiting the cruise show taking place Saturday and Sunday, 17-18 February, at Olympia has the opportunity to enter.
The prize includes all food, drink, entertainment and leisure facilities on a 302-cabin, 584-foot luxury vessel that is currently undergoing a $45 million refit and will set sail from Miami in 2020. The cabin-condominium accommodations have gone on sale, with prices starting from $225,000; cruisers will also be able to buy the one-year "Home At Sea" experience.
Storylines, which has offices in London and New York, has set out to create communities at sea, where people participate in running the ship, offer their skills and decide where they sail via an app offering a choice of more than 100 ports. Onboard amenities include an "aerofarm" to grow fresh produce, a microbrewery, running track, library and cinema. There will also be visiting entertainers who come onboard at various destinations.
