(2:10 p.m. EDT) -- Silversea has placed an order with Fincantieri's shipyard in Genoa for another sister ship to Silver Muse. The new-build is to be named Silver Dawn, and is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The order comes less than a year after the luxury cruise line cemented a deal for a second Muse-class ship, Silver Moon, to debut in 2020. Silver Dawn will be the line's 11th ship and third in the Muse class; Silversea operates both luxury oceangoing cruise ships and expedition vessels.

"Silver Dawn will bear the same hallmarks of quality that guests currently enjoy on our 6-star ships. We look forward to welcoming guests aboard in November 2021. It was my father's dream to grow Silversea to at least a 12-ship fleet; today, we are one step closer to fulfilling his vision," said Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, Silversea's Chairman, according to a press release issued by Fincantieri.

Highlights of the Muse class include a variety of dining venues (with no traditional main restaurant), all-suite accommodations and subtle but luxurious touches.
