Sun Princess in Sydney

(5 a.m. AEST) -- Princess Cruises will soon open bookings for 18 voyages departing from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland in winter 2020. On sale from October 11, 2018 (two days earlier for Elite members), the options range from a weekend to the legendary 106-night world cruise.

The six-continent world voyage, which is available in shorter segments ranging from 18 to 69 nights, sails roundtrip from Sydney, Brisbane or Auckland includes 41 ports of call, a visit to the Arctic Circle and overnight stays in Dubai, Venice, New York and Lima.

The 77-night Circle Pacific cruise is back, departing from Sydney or Brisbane, with a record number of stops in Japan and Alaska, as well as other destinations in Asia, North America and the South Pacific.

Other itineraries include a Tokyo cruise from Sydney, Brisbane or Auckland via Hong Kong, Shanghai and Busan in South Korea; a Pacific Ocean cruise roundtrip from Brisbane to Tahiti and Hawaii; and a Northern Explorer across the top of Australia, from Sydney to Perth, calling at Brisbane, Cairns, Alotau (Papua New Guinea), Darwin, the Kimberley coast (scenic cruising), Broome, Geraldton and Fremantle.

All voyages are on the 2,000-passenger Sun Princess or Sea Princess.

Meanwhile, the newest and biggest ship in the fleet, Majestic Princess, has arrived in its homeport of Sydney for cruises around Australia and New Zealand. The 3,560-passenger ship joins Sun, Sea and Golden Princess sailing from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle, Adelaide and Auckland. Majestic Princess will return to Australian shores again in late 2019.
