7 Days to Alaska Feels Like 7 Days at Wal-Mart

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

The ship is overcrowded, and there is too much competition for everything on board including dining, elevators, and public spaces. We often have to wait for two or three elevators to find space. The breakfast food in the Garden Cafe doesn't change for seven days. We had to arrive by 6:30 a.m. to be able to find a table to sit. When ordering at a restaurant, the order takes a minimium of 45 to 60 ...

just got off the ship and had a fabulous time. we went to Alaska to celebrate our 30th anniversary..the crew was friendly and excited because it was the first cruise of the season. my first cruise as well. the food was delicious, the choices were plentiful as well as the drinks. we met people from all over the world and the atmosphere was relaxed and happy. everything was first-class and seemed to ...

Solid Cruise and a fun time

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Embarkation was simple as the NCL app allows nearly all the steps prior to arriving. We arrived about 10 AM and since this was the first trip of the Alaska season, there were no passengers on the ship from a previous cruise. From baggage drop off to the waiting area was about 15 minutes. It would have been faster but it was clear that check in agents were being trained and were still learning the ...

I wanted to love it but I didn’t

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

This was my ninth cruise, after two on Disney, five on Royal Caribbean, and most recently one on Carnival just a few weeks back. Unfortunately, this cruise was just "fine" and I've canceled a future NCL cruise to book with another line. This is rare for me - usually I'm clamoring to book another cruise with the same line by the time I've disembarked. I was sailing solo for my birthday and because ...

First of all- this site is FULL of complainers. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. 4.5 review for us. We loved our experience on this ship! We don’t expect 100% perfection. Here are our pros and cons: Pros- Beautiful clean new ship, spacious balcony room, comfy beds, OBSERVATION LOUNGE deck 15- with huge windows and drinks and snacks almost always available- and tons of seating- we ...

Best Vacation Ever !!!!

My nephew had a break at school so my sister took the opportunity to take him on vacation so she booked NCL Bliss. I had no plans on joining them but my mother talked me into it so I can keep them company. This turned out to be the best vacation of my life. We ate, drank, play, laugh ... it was fantastic. Weather - cloudy and occasionally wet. Typical PNW weather at this time of year. ...

Great Value!

We are pretty loyal to HAL, but this trip was an amazing value. My knees don't work right, so I can't "do" Alaska like I could have thirty years ago. My hope was to see as much as I could see from the boat. Our goal was quiet, decent food, decent service, and to take in some of the amazing scenery that is Alaska. We got that, and more! We scored a beautiful club suite-- more room than ...

Went on an Alaskan cruise last year on Princess. A mud slide prevented us from going into Skagway. Booked this cruise to make up for it. So far I don’t have many good things to say. I have 20 cruises worth of experience on several cruise lines. Each cruise line does some thing well and could use improvement in other areas. So far the service has been terrible. I had a good experience in the ...

My second Alaska cruise

I didn't pick this cruise, my bride did. One day out of the blue, she asked me "Can we go on an Alaska cruise?" We'd already been on one in 2017, but I didn't argue with her. It's a good enough cruise to do a repeat. We flew to Seattle the day before the cruise and stayed at the Waterfront Marriott. It's pricey, but across the street from the cruise port. It's close enough that the bell ...

Let me start by saying the cruise all around was decent. We had a number of issues within the ship, and staff Day 1: Our luggage was delivered to the incorrect room. We were able to retrieve our luggage because the family that had our luggage read the luggage tag and brought it to our room. We brought this up to guest services and they looked at me as if I was stupid. Day 2 we learned that ...
