Overall it’s a wonderful cruise. The boat is beautiful. Having never done Alaska we chose this boat because we were traveling with a 12 year old and it was newer than many of the other ships going to Alaska and had a lot more fun things to do on the boat.
We ate at 4 of the specialty dining restaurants. The BBQ place Qi’s was terrific. Service was great, love country music (although by ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to go to Alaska. We have sailed about 5 times before but only on carnival so we were very excited.
CONS:
A few things I didn't, that there were two unlimited bar packages a regular and premium, so we upgraded to that for mostly water and coffee. Definitely felt like that was worth it. We were charged a 20.00 fee daily per person which I didn't ...
This was our12th cruise with NCL, first on a Mega ship.
Logistics to board and logistics at ports left a lot to be desired ! It is not a smooth operation
First time we booked air with NCL - never again - lousy flight times , bought our own additional return ticket to avoid 1 AM return arrival
Food onboard was great except for Cagneys Steakhouse - filet was like shoe leather.
Other ...
We chose the Bliss at a last minute review because we wanted to see Alaskas inner passage. Holland did not go to Endicott Arms.
We took the $299 excursion to see the Dawson Glacier and Edicott Arms. It was very foggy and too foggy for the Bliss to follow our smaller boat. Thankfully we signed up for the smaller boat.
We usually go on small to medium sized cruises and thought the BLISS would ...
My wife and I as grandparents plus with the rest of our family of 9 additional people aged from ages 3 to 41 all just got back from a Jul~Aug NCL Bliss 7 night Alaska Dawes Glacier Juneau and Ketchikan cruise.
ONBOARD STAFF:
They all kept extremely busy dealing with the large crowds of demanding people and lines but most of the ships staff my family interacted with maintained genuine ...
We wanted personalized service and The Haven did just that. Our concierge Gian, our butlers Peter and Dominique, and every staff member aboard were so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed the production of The Jersey Boys. Keelan Layton, who played Frankie Valli, could not have been a better person for that role. His voice was amazing. Jay Worley and the ...
The Alaskan cruise was good. The weather was actually warm. lots of shorts and t-shirts moments. Cruise was casual, no need to bring a suit or formal wear. boarding was good and excursions were good. staying in the Haven makes the trip a lot less crowded We would definitely stay Haven again if we were to travel with this cruise line again. given our post cruise experience i dont see that ...
My wife and I booked this cruise as technically our 2nd cruise but our first was 25 years ago so I will say we are first time cruisers. Our largest complaint was there was not enough time at the ports and as a first time cruise the information flow from NCL was not great.
Boarding was easy, you can drop off your luggage anytime. We had a board time of 2:30 but dropped off our luggage at like ...
This was our 4 - 5th trip with Norwegian Cruise Line but our first on the NCL Bliss. We were satisfied with our previous vacations. This trip we brought our daughters, and grandchildren to see Alaska for the first time. This trip on was considerably dissatisfying .
We took the Alaska cruise. At the first stop Sitka the ship docked 5 - 6 miles from the town and you were shuttled in. With ...
I chose the Bliss for my Alaskan cruise because of the class of ship. I absolutely love the layout of the ship! The Manhattan Room, Savor and Taste never disappoint! I also had dinner in 4 of the specialty restaurants. Cagney’s and LeBistro are the top of my list. The communication from the cruise director and captain were the best I’ve experienced! I attended the Platinum and Captain’s cocktail ...
