Norwegian Dawn Falls Short

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

The staff that are working on the Norwegian Dawn are fantastic. But the organization of getting on and off the ship is terrible. Norwegian has complicated getting on the ship for the first time to new horizons. Multiple waiting areas for no apparent reason. Worst we have ever seen. It was also the worst management of shore excursions that we have ever seen on any cruise. At any one time ...

NCL hits a homeun with this amazing ship

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Norwegian Prima

So with 90+ cruises under our belts the last and only NCL cruise was with NCL Epic almost ten years ago. We don’t have to go into why Epic is such an Epic failure, but Prima is a true winner. Since the cruise restart we’ve been on 10+ cruises including Oceania and Regent. Food wise nothing really beats Oceania, but now NCL is a close second. Some of the dishes on board was truly stunning. Food is ...

Initial paid passenger cruise still working out major bugs

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We chose the September 9, 2022 sailing on NCL Prima because the NCL cruise consultant told us it was the inaugural cruise after the original inaugural in mid-August was cancelled due to supply chain issues (ie would not be ready in time to meet original plan), Embarkation in Amsterdam went smoothly for us once we informed people we had priority boarding. However, despite having chosen a ...

Could Do Better

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Our 5th NCL cruise but the first in four years due to Covid and other stuff. OurNCL consultant encouraged us to book Prima as it was sailing when and where we wanted to go and it was brand new. We booked NCL airport transfers as we nearly missed one of our previous cruises however, we landed at 08.20 and no NCL rep. A kind rep from another company took us to "the meeting point". Still no NCL ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Returned from the 3rd - 12th Baltic trip on Prima. The few good things on this trip/ship. It is a nice ship some nice designs. The staterooms are very nice and their bathroom great. Some the main dining room, Hudson and Commodore nice décor. The other specialty dining areas probably were nice but not worth the $$ to attend. The food would have been cold there too!. Someone lack imagination in the ...

SOULESS SHIP

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Took this NCL Prima cruise so we could visit a couple of countries we have never been to before, Negative bits first, the ship really is awful, outside looks like some wishy washy 90's retirement complex in Florida, inside is a mix of Holiday inn on a German industrial estate with again a 90's Arndale shopping mall feel to most of the public areas, there's not a piece of real timber or ...

Well...the Tuna-fish Wasn't Bad

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We chose this cruise due to the variety of the intinerary. We had never sailed on Norwegian, but have had good experiences with lines as diverse as Carnival and Silversea. The embarkation point in Amsterdam was conveniently located to the City. The embarkation process itself was painfully long, chaotic and barely sanitary. The cabins were fine. A bit dated. No USB charging stations and the ...

The British Isle itinerary was great

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

The British Isle itinerary was great. 10 days was a good length. I have done 7. Day cruises and they just seem too short. There was one day at sea and all others in ports. We started in Amsterdam, Bruges, Sea Day, Edinburgh, Invernook, Orkney Island, Belfast, Liverpool, Dublin, Portland, Southampton. The ship was a good size., not too big There were two flaws, there was no observation lounge, ...

Peaceful and relaxing on this small ship

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

This was my fifth cruise and the oldest and smallest ship I’ve been on. It was an excellent experience. The Dawn is still very well-maintained and didn’t feel dirty or old in the slightest. We reportedly had 1400 passengers onboard, so 60% capacity. The ship felt fully staffed and there were never long line-ups. Where it felt busy was when they closed the main dining rooms for lunch *and* ...
