11 Days at Sea, Right Out of Dry Dock

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Joy

My wife and I sailed a Transatlantic cruise after the Joy came out of a 3-week dry dock. We have sailed 30-35 times, mostly on Celebrity and Azamara. Last NCL sailing was 2016. This specific crossing was 60% of capacity. The ship was clean and well maintained. Crew is ever present. The only location showing a bit of on-going construction was the area of the 24 newly-installed cabins where a ...

Met Expectations

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

This was our sixth transatlantic cruise, the second on the Getaway and our eighth overall on an NCL vessel. Our cruise and the Getaway were par-for-the-course meeting expectations. No surprises or unexpected disappointments...It's one of the big ships with all the competitive bells & whistles. The staterooms & bathrooms are clean, somewhat spacious, comfortable and practical. A shortage of ubs ...

Good Enough Cruise

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I liked the itinerary and looked forward to a smaller ship than I usually sail. This would be my 8th cruise all of them with NCL. Found the ship attractive, peaceful and calming. Neutral colors were used throughout the ship. Had an inside cabin and I found it comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well for the most part. Ate exclusively at the Garden Cafe and found it very ...

A lovely time spent of The NCL Dawn

Our previous cruise with NCL in Mar 23 was very disappointing and we vowed not to cruise with them again, however, we came across this reasonably priced and local cruise for us around the British Isles, Holland, Belgium and France. We expected the worse, but were pleasantly surprised. The ship is a bit tired in places and the décor old fashioned but we liked it. It was clean and spotless ...

The good the bad and the ugly

NCL GETAWAY 9/15-10/1 16 DAY WESTERN EUROPEAN CRUISE THE GOOD: The food was uniformly good. Whether in the main dining room, the buffet or the specialty dining rooms I had no complaint. Plentiful servings promptly served. Entertainment was top notch. The dancers in "BURN THE FLOOR" were as energetic as one could imagine. The "MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET" was superb. All 4 of the ...

Norwegian Prima London to Iceland.

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Booked 25 months prior to sailing. Went with another couple. Chose to include NCL air, which was a savings. Tried to tell them we need a long layover between our home airport and the international flight due to weather issues causing air delays in northeast. NCL said no special requests. At departure day, a delay due to weather would cause ...

A luxurious experience to compete with Princess and Celebrity

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

This was my 8th cruise, 5th with Norwegian. This was my first cruise I picked primarily for sailing on NCL’s newest and most luxurious ship. The Prima is exceptional. Its modern spa colours of whites, soft woods, and exquisite tile and stone are everywhere. Of course the ship is supposed to be different than other ships! It’s a brand new class. Some people are either being disingenuous or ...

Lovely ship, great itinerary, some problems

Review for a Iceland Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We chose this cruise and ship because of the itinerary which included Norway and Iceland. The interior designers did a wonderful job, it is beautiful. And because it's a new ship it was sparkling. Purell stations in numerous locations, WC's lovely and numerous. We expected a different configuration in our cabin but the service was great. Problems with finding NCL transfer agents at the ...

Interesting ports but don't expect high quality food

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Just finished ten day cruise with lots of interesting ports in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Overall was very pleased with the coordination in the ports, only did one shore excursion (as the ones offered by Norwegian seemed ridiculously overpriced, even with the $50 discount per excursion I was offered) but did several great self-arranged walking tours in the major ports ...

Old Ship, Great Ports

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I chose this trip and ship over a cheaper cruise because of the British Isles itinerary (I've always wanted to see Scotland) and dates that best suited my schedule. It was a last minute decision and I'm not a frequent cruiser, so I don't know all the tricks and tips that I see a lot of people use to book their trips and make the most of their money. When you just want to relax and go on vacation, ...
