1-10 of 10 Transatlantic Norwegian Dawn Transatlantic Cruise Reviews
I didn't choose this cruise. I went because of a cancellation. While most had booked 2 years earlier, I booked 4 months prior to sail. There wasn't any time to research and if I had, I would have declined.
From the beginning it was chaotic at best. When I say nobody knows what they are doing, they really don't. We had to spend 4 days at sea because of icebergs. Yes, our safety was important but ...
Talk about waits. We waited hours to get a bus from Newark to the port to board ship. Nobody knew what they were doing and when more buses were coming. First night never notified of time change. Stood in a line for 3 hours to hand in my duty papers before we got to the UK. Four days straight at sea with nothing to do due to icebergs. Late for excursions because two tenders broken down for ...
Im just writing this to confirm everything said by terminallyconfused01.
My biggest complaints were.
1.Swimming pool was not heated for 12 of the 14 days of the cruise. When it was finally heated on day 12 it was very pleasant for swimming in.
2. 2 of the 4 main hot tubs around the pool were colder than the other two. All seemed very cold during the atlantic crossing but this may have ...
I had read bad reviews on this ship but loved the itinerary, which turned out they missed the 2 ports I chose the cruise for, then gave us only $25, while on their other ships they got more $$$ and discount on future cruise. The food was better than a diet I lost 10lbs plus it was so bad and so cold , strange because 1st couple days was great. There was mold rempant throughout ship ,passengers ...
Onboarding/check in: was a breeze – no major lines when checking in late afternoon and checking into the safety/muster stations were quick and easy
Room: showers were nice with the glass coverage rather than the plastic curtains. Television was older and had limited options – same movies and sitcoms replayed. Live news channels would often be stuck/no reception. I know some people don’t go on ...
Ncl’s dawn is a logistical nightmare with basic cruise processes. The one tendering port process ran an average of 2 hours late and we were unable to go into dublin after our tour as a result of ncl’s incompetence. Ncl knows how many passengers fit into a tender, how many guests are onboard, how many guests are on ncl tours, and what time they are scheduled to depart. Using only 3 tenders that ...
We chose this ship because of the ports and the fact that we have sailed on the Norwegian Jewel many times and it was absolutely wonderful. We assumed that this would be of the same quality. We are so wrong.
We were told by the embarkation agent that our priority boarding was not available and we had to get into the long slow line to get on. So much for Platinum Level of loyalty. After more ...
We have sailed on many ships but nothing like Norwegian Dawn. It has taken me this long to formulate my thoughts about this terrible ship. There is no dress code on this ship. We have seen it all. Torn, ripped pants, miniskirts cut clean up to where they shouldn't be and even camel toe pants. Disgusting. The food wasn't bad but lacked variety. They even had beautiful prime rib stakes being ...
For an intressant way an nice stops to Atlantic Cruise. It was so much Below average that ncl should be ashamed, ship was not it´s best and stateroom was enough for 2 but was for4 , in that case there where no place to breathe or put your luggage. We missed 2 stops due to iceberg…compensation for that was 25 us???? Not even enough for 5 espresso…served in a paper cup for the price of 3.86 ...
Home being Montreal we selected this 12 days repositioning cruise for the convenience of being closer to home when we disembarked in Boston, it also gave us a sixth port of call.
One way flight to Tampa and spent the night at the Crowne Plaza Tampa-Westshore. The room was spacious, continental breakfast and transit to the ship for $10.00 pp.
Embarkation - Arrived at the pier around 10:30 am. ...
