We had not been to South America prior to this sailing. Cruise was lovely and relaxing. We went in three days earlier to visit Buenos Aires. Beautiful city and lots of cultural things to do. Some of the smaller ports were very interesting we liked Buzios.

Would not do this cruise again. Many ports were small towns with not much to see. Several ports canceled. Weather was bad. Food was great and so was the service.

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, food expectations, and service levels. Not sure they lived up to any of it. While they cannot do anything about the weather (cancelling the Falklands) and uprisings (cancelling Pisco), their complete inability to communicate was unacceptable.

The biggest take-away from this cruise is to say that if you do take medications, take an extra seven days worth with you. We were lucky and did, which we have done on previous cruises. You never know what may happen. After you read the rest of this you'll understand.
