Oceania will not be our future pick

Review for a Asia Cruise on Riviera

We chose this, our first Oceania cruise, because we wanted the itinerary, the smaller ship, and the advertised educational talks. The advertised 'best food on the ocean' was a perk, but was not necessary for us. This is what happened: Oceania didn’t provide nearly enough excursions. A whole busload of us, through our Roll Call, finally booked excursions with the only company we could get 3 ...

Do not recommend

In my opinion: Avoid this cruise and Oceania for the following reasons: 1) horrible crowd management - 2 hour lines shoulder to shoulder for onboard immigration process; 2) bad excursion experience overall - booked, some bad guides, insufficient coverage of areas, problem with availability, 3) some excellent and some very rude and inexperienced staff. In my opinion there are much better ...

Felt Underwhelmed for the Price

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Regatta

We were on the Regatta from Australia to New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa x 2 and French Polynesia. My feedback is as follows: 1. Staff - very friendly and generally eager to please. However, tend to be a number who lack training, so service is variable. 2. Cabins - please don't pretend they are state rooms, it insults the passengers! Generally basic, but good enough, but shower area is tiny. Bigger ...

A big, disorganized mess

Review for a Asia Cruise on Riviera

This was not our first cruise with Oceania and after a fantastic experience in Tahiti, we couldn't wait to go back. This experience however, was quite different. Our stateroom (A4), public spaces, etc., were lovely and comfortable, and the specialty restaurants were very good. The buffet and the Grand Dining Room however, went downhill compared to the previous cruise, Where Oceania let us ...

In total, we have cruised @. 40 times to most corners of the world. This was our second time with Oceania..... and our last. We booked directly and our only contact was with the cruise consultant who took the booking. Any questions, and there were several regarding air, guest services etc were directed to him, but he could only pass the questions up the chain. We paid the fee ( higher ...

Bad experience

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

We were planning a long cruise of 9 weeks from Auckland to LA of about 9 weeks. When they sold it to us we thought that this was one cruise but we found out that this cruise was split up in 3 parts. With twice the same ports as you did at the end of the cruise that just ended. That was not told at all when they sold this to us! So at the end of the first cruise part you end again in Auckland where ...

Nice ship, but very disappointed this time.

After cruising many lines over 35 years, Oceania is our favorite. Great food, small ships, and interesting ports and excursions (previous to this cruise). First, the positive: Oceania has great ships. We've been on the Riviera (@1200 passengers) and the smaller Insignia and Nautica (@600 passengers}. The ships are well laid out with specialty restaurants, a fantastic buffet, comfortable ...

Total disappointment

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Riviera

I chose the 20 night trip from Mumbai to Singapore, especially looking forward to revisiting the Maldives, and generally having tours which gave experiences out of the norm. I particularly wanted to treat myself to some top-notch cuisine. Oh dear, what a mistake. There were good points. The cabin was usual size, clean, comfortable. Storage fine for one person, but inadequate for two. BUT ...

THE DECREASE OF QUALITY

Review for a Asia Cruise on Nautica

The food was far below our previous experiences as far as the choice of the menus, the quality of the prepared food and the description/naming of the dishes, such as using names that didn't reflect the expected dish with the corresponding name. the buffet also could use some improvement as the products were not as fresh as expected. Also, some products such as bananas or plain oil(for ...
