This cruise was a anniversary gift to ourselves as we both have wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise. We work with a travel agent who guided us to Oceania, when she understood our desires for something small and somewhat casual yet luxurious. The trip was sensational with great food options, wonderful entertainment and fabulous service. Embarkation and disembarkation were amazingly quick and very ...

A Wonderful Cruise Aboard Oceania Regatta!

We chose this Alaska cruise on the Regatta for a few reasons - generally good reviews and reputation of the cruise line, the itinerary, and the excellent deal we got from our travel agent. We absolutely loved it! Only our 2nd cruise and the first one for our traveling companions (my brother and sister-in-law). Embarkation was very easy and we got a table outside on the Terrace Cafe as soon ...

Poodles on board the boat

This was our second cruise on Oceania. First one was fabulous, this one we couldn't wait to get off of the boat. With a few exceptions, mostly poor service in Grand dining room, and in Terrace Café. The main problem with this cruise were the full size Poodles on board. They were allowed in the restaurant, everywhere on the ship from what we could tell, and they were not well trained. I have a ...

Not Bad, Not Good; Hubbard Glacier Spectacular!

We had previously sailed on Oceania's Marina. We appreciated the smaller size of the Regatta but otherwise found Marina much more to our liking. Regatta's staff overall ( there were some exceptions) seemed much younger, less experienced and less inclined to be helpful. The weather was not warm or dry which meant folks were struggling to find space inside to do things and to be during "at sea" ...

Our overall experience was excellent. Of particular note were the high quality, competence, and helpfulness of the staff, who were all very personable. The food was excellent. Tour excursions were well done. Entertainment was good if not outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the string quartet. Some people complain about the smallness of the cabins on Regatta and, particularly, the ...

We enjoy cruising Alaska more than any other destination and just completed 9 with this trip. We cruised on the Regatta in June doing a Seattle roundtrip. Embarkation was a breeze and we were onboard within 15 minutes. For the entire trip the lines for very short, it there were lines at all. We wanted to try Oceania as we heard the food was so good. Our first night in the dining room I was ...

Great Itinerary, Nice Cabin, Boring Food, and Occasionally Spotty Service

This was our first cruise on Oceania and we were looking forward to it greatly. We have taken 20 previous cruises, mostly with Celebrity and Azamara, though with all the other major lines except Norwegian as well. We receive about 3 pieces of mail from Oceania every week, and had particularly been looking forwarded to the much-vaunted Jacques Pépin cuisine. We were familiar with the R-class ...

Regatta 2016 Alaska Cruise

Choose this cruise to try a high end luxury cruise, able to snag a pretty good deal on a PH w/Butler. Loved it, the staff was more than accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent, grilled lobster every night at the Terrace Cafe if you want. Same goes for steaks, fish, lamb, large shrimp, etc. Also, they handle the food, no picking up the spoon/tongs that the person in front of you just ...

Regatta?, REGRETTABLE!!!

We are seasoned cruisers, more than 50 on 7 different lines but this was our first AND LAST on Oceania. The line brags about its food, service and atmosphere. Perhaps one or more of their executive staff should actually board Regatta INCOGNITO and find out what really happens aboard the ship. Embarkation was quick, easy and was totally different from everything we experienced aboard Regatta ...

So glad we found Oceania!

Chose the Regatta / Oceania cruise because of the date and destination; my dear mother has always wanted to go on an Alaska cruise, so I treated her to her first cruise. Oceania's Regatta is a lovely, smaller ship (650+ passengers, 400 crew), so we didn't feel lost, yet could have "alone" and quiet time if we desired. Food was great, although for vegetarians we had somewhat of a limited ...
