This was our third Viking River Cruise. We went on this cruise as we wished to visit Paris and the Normandy Beaches. When we booked this cruise over a year before we sailed we believed the ship would be moored close to the centre of Paris. Unfortunately before we sailed we were informed that the port authorities had moved the mooring position to Le Pecq some 11 miles from the centre of Paris. ...

The itinerary was very good and the stop at Normandy was really special. The crew was wonderful. The food was ok. The wine was served amply. The cabin was ok but the carpeting there and throughout the ship was in poor condition and stained. I understand it's one of its final sailings. It is ready to retire. After spending a week on the Viking Spirit, an older ship, boarding the Hermod took your breath away. The public rooms and dining room were beautiful. The cabin was pretty as well but the size left a lot to be desired.
