Pre-cruise hotel in Munich (Hilton) was fine. We needed to place a call for A/C fan not working. Tours were good and interesting. Local restaurants were few, we needed to secure rides to get dinner.
Pre-cruise hotel in Salzburg (Sheraton) was nice and close to shopping and restaurants. Tours and tour guides were outstanding. Our Viking representative for these four days was great.

This was our second Viking Cruise. We had the same type room which did not disappoint. The cleaning staff kept our room very clean. The view of the Danube was great although when you are parked in a lock, you don’t see anything.

Viking offered a price on a European cruise that we could afford, and we had been wanting to do a river cruise for a long time. We loved the format of the cruise, the relaxed atmosphere, adults only. We didn't have to choose expensive shore excursions, there was no high pressure sales of photos, etc., and there were no requirements on our time until debarkation. The crew were excellent; all seemed to get on really well and were very efficient & cheerful

We'd never done a river cruise (lots of ocean cruises) and my spouse and I both saw this in the Viking brochure and said 'let's do it."
The service was simply outstanding, from being greeted at the dock and checking in to checking out and leaving a week later. Staff was incredibly helpful and the city guides were incredibly knowledgeable. Even the weather cooperated for our trip.
