We honeymooned on the Crown in 2007. Had a great time sailing from NYC to the Caribbean and back. That trip kick started our love of cruising. So this trip was a homecoming of sorts.
How was it 16 years later? While the ship has obviously aged and shows some wear here and there, overall it seems to be actually improved. The tech added throughout the ship is brilliant. The medallions worked ...
We are a three person family with a toddler. We chose this cruise as part of a trip to Vancouver to see friends. Our cruising activities are limited by our kid, so we spend most of our cruises eating, walking around the ship, and enjoying some of the music activities.
Day 1: we had lunch and dinner at the buffet. Both times it was okay - good staff, no wait time, but food was pretty mediocre. ...
What year is this cruise? People are eating rice pilaf and drinking Blue Hawaiians, the comedian’s routine is shockingly racist, and the big musical revue is a nearly all-white salute to Motown. I halfway expected to run into cigarette machine. I am old, but Gen Z: I was appalled on your behalf. The fact that the buffet has a vegan section and there’s a nightly LGBTQ meet-up reminded me it was ...
I choose this cruise because it was easy access for my sister and myself as we live in Vancouver.
I have cruised a lot but only once before with Princess to Alaska. I normally use Celebrity.
First of all the good. I cant say enough about the friendliness of the ship crew and staff. 5 stars I would give 6 if I could.
Secondly
The food was Not very well presented in the buffet more ...
Sapphire was built in 2004 and refurbished in 2018.
It hold ups to 2670 passengers and up to 1100 crew. That's a nice crew to passenger ratio.
This smaller ship really provides wonderful service. We took a repositioning cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles from October 8th-15th, 2023.
I would have given them a 4 1/2 stars, but that wasn't a choice.
The reality is even though, they ...
The Majestic has done it again -
the service is poor, the food is below bad and tasteless, activities are boring, shows are like 5th grade talent shows, they nickle and dime you for everything and now they are charging extra if the dining areas if you want steak or lobster or if you ask for seconds!. The Alfredos pizza place was basically empty except for people that had extra packages, but ...
This was our first Princess cruise - and it won't be our last! We have cruised Carnival and NCL and usually choose our ship based on the itinerary, price etc... Several family members encouraged us to try Princess so when we saw the repositioning deal for the Majestic from Vancouver to LA it was a great time to try it - we chose a balcony cabin with Princess Plus. We made a $200 bid to upgrade ...
Embarkation day went well. We got to the Seattle Pier 91 around noon. It took 15 minutes to board after going through security. At 1pm our cabin was ready and we were in an inside cabin a few doors from the very aft of the ship. The cabin layout is very good except for the shower. There is no plastic or glass door but only a plastic shower curtain and very worn out. We picked an inside cabin ...
While most of the staff were very friendly and go out of their way to help you, guest services left must to be desired. Unless you purchase upgrades and shore excursions, don't expect must. Preferential service is give to passengers who pay the extra money, the rest of the passengers' needs are only seen if the staff has time. This includes disembarkation times at ports. If you stop at a port that ...
This is our second trip on Majestic in two years; the first of which was to New Zealand.
THE GOOD
The good news is that the overall energy level has much improved since our lethargic NZ experience. The cruise director and his staff did a great job of keeping us all engaged and there was fun enjoyed by all.
We had a mini suite which was clean and perfectly managed by our steward, Aldwin. ...
