ROYAL PRINCESS TO HONOLULU

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Royal Princess

After 31 years, it was time for us to return to Hawaii, so we went by ship. Royal Princess scheduled a 7 day cruise from Vancouver B.C. to Honolulu with a stop in Seattle. Embarkation at Canada Place was very quick even though we were in the Blue Lane. We picked up our medallions, dropped our bags in our cabin and went to Concerto for lunch. This was the best meal I had in one of the Main ...

We chose this cruise so we would have many sea days, but also the itinerary was amazing! We went from Vancouver to Seattle, then Hawaii, French Polynesia, Tahiti, New Zealand and ended in Sydney, Australia. We loved it all! The food on board was great, although we found there could have been a little change from week to week, but all in all it was very good. Even the buffet had good choices! Being ...

Alaskan scenery, itinerary and lectures make this a great cruise!

Royal Princess to Alaska Seattle round-trip was a great cruise. I went with a friend, her young son and her brother in early August. Embarkation was super easy, and I found the Blue Lane vs Green Lane to be a meaningless distinction, and picked up my medallion at the same desk as registration, and from getting out of the cab around 11am to being on board took less than 20 minutes. PROS The ...

Good Cruise with Noisy Ambiance

We chose this cruise to escape from Dallas where the temperatures are consistently three digit. It was our first Princess cruise, our second Alaska cruise, and about our 25th ocean or river cruise. We booked a mini suite with balcony. This is definitely a ship oriented toward families and a 40-50 year old passenger demographic. Our experience doesn't support comments elsewhere about the Royal ...

ROYAL Princess - not quite up to "Royal Class" expectation

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Royal Princess

We have sailed over 300 days on Princess ships and chose to take this as the Royal Princess is a "Royal Class Princess ship" sailing out of San Francisco. No question it is a beautiful ship, spotlessly clean. We had had earlier experience in 2022 on Regal Princess in Europe and expected the same standard on the ROYAL Princess. To our complete and utter dismay we were in for a huge disappointment ...

First time cruiser. We did a pile of research and determined that Mrs. Cruiser and I wanted to be on Princess on the southbound sailing from Whittier through the Alaska Glaciers (Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay). We also stopped at Sitka (Skagway was closed), Juneau, and Ketchikan. All in all, everything was done very well by Princess. Embarkation was very smooth, but in Whittier, there was no ...

Eleven Royal Princess Alaska Features Rated Excellent to Abysmal

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

Rating-Feature-Description 10 Children - The absolute, hands-down, best aspect of this particular cruise is the conspicuous absence of children. Perhaps only 5% of families brought along their offspring, which in and of itself, makes this cruise well worth booking 9 Crew/ Staff - The Royal’s staff are excellently trained, superbly competent, tireless and circumspectly vigilant. Perhaps the ...

-Don't try to take a quick inland tour before your cruise. Do what we did and take at least a week to see inland Alaska (ride the Wilderness Express on the Alaska Railroad! You will thank me later!) I recommend this be a separate vacation. -The Stewards/Stewardesses and Waiters/Waitresses are AMAZING! But just know ~$15/day gratuity will be charged to your room account daily. That is why ...

We chose to cruise with Princess mostly because of the itinerary. After researching cruising to Alaska, we had heard so many times that Glacier Bay was a must see and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely beautiful and College Fjord was even almost as impressive. We also enjoyed the other ports of Ketchikan, Skagway and Juneau. The Royal was very nicely decorated, not overly gaudy ...

Friendly & helpful crew but probably won't do Princess again.

We've sailed on Princess twice now in 2022. In April we sailed on the Ruby and July the Royal. I've been wanting to do a Princess cruise for a while now. In the past we've sailed on Royal Caribbean 3 times, Norwegian once & Carnival once. We won't do a Carnival cruise again. We were on the Carnival Valor and that ship is laid out bad! Embarkation: On the Ruby it took 2 hours of standing ...
