Ruby Princess - British Isles

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Ruby Princess

The Ruby Princess is a very young ship that is the largest in the Princess fleet. They kept many of the basic layout and design elements from all of their other ships, but also made some rather notable changes. The Piazza is much larger and capable of holding more traditional entertainment events; the down side is that it interferes with the programming of Crooners (their piano bar). The ...

I will cover the title later. This review covers the Ruby Princess on back to back cruises that started in Southampton on 8/27/2014 and ended in Manhattan New York on 9/22/2014. Princess refers to the cruise as “British Isles” and “Iceland Grand Adventure” for the second half. This review covers all opinions, mostly good to excellent and some disappointments. The Itinerary - Both cruises offered ...

I am not writing a long review because the Ruby is not sailing this itinerary again. So I am not going to go over the ports. 1. Staff=Tremendous. Every staff member was upbeat and smiling. Nothing was too hard for them to do. They carried trays, got extra blankets, got seconds of food at dinner...and the list goes forever. 2. Ship=Great shape. Once you got the layout the ship was easy to ...

We were picked up at Heathrow by Barry of Taranis Travel--bookings@taranistravelco.uk. He was very efficient and transported us to Southampton via Stonehenge, Salisbury, Avebury, Amesbury. His price was great and we could stay as long as we wished in each place. He also transported us to Bath another day. There is an audio guide to the Baths. Will take you around 2 hours and it could be more if ...

First time with Princess and first time around the British isles. We would like to do both again. This was our eleventh cruise and, all round, probably the best. There were things to gripe about (the food was much of a muchness, the shows were pitiful and we avoided them, the cruise director was.......) but we do not go on holiday for shows compered by someone whose love of his own voice was quite ...

This was our first Princess Cruise, overall it would have been a mainly positive experience, but we were let down by Princesses greed who sell cabins to passengers that are not fit for purpose, I have since found a previous review by a person in the same block, wish I had seen this before we cruised. It was a shame because we loved our cabin steward and we loved the layout of the room, but sadly ...

We were looking for a deal in the UK school holidays and sure did we find one. We found the cruise on sale at £599 which at £50 pppn summer holidays was unbeatable. We were not sure about the ports being so close to home, but felt assured that we would enjoy the ship and its facilities non the less. We have been on P&O Ventura twice, and my parents who also traveled with us have sailed with ...

We just completed this cruise with our 14-yr old son. Overall we had a wonderful vacation. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Loved the cabin--we had an aft balcony stateroom and loved watching as we arrived at and left ports every day. Also loved that this was a very port-intensive cruise. A great way to see a lot of different cities/areas. Services on the ship were excellent; staff were ...

Positives and Negatives about Ruby Princess at the British Isles

Our family of four chose this cruise due to it's itinerary (which selected fantastic ports to cover the British Isles) and of course with princess being loyal princess cruisers. This was our 8th princess cruise and 14th overall. Expectations were high being it was one of the newer ships we'd been on. Positives The staff are brilliant! They are all professional, friendly and go out of their way ...
