"Embarkation was slower than usual. At the airport, we learned that there were two Princess ships in port and leaving at the same, so the shuttles were performing double duty from the airport to both ships. Once at..."Read More

1-10 of 96 Princess Ruby Princess Cruise Reviews for Family Cruises to the Mexican Riviera
Love this cruise to Cabo. I have been several times but this is the 1st time I took a princess excursion. Two actually. They were a great value and lot of fun. Went to hotel California And whale watching. Because I went by myself I did things by myself That the group didnt wanna do. Like staying at EFFE's jewelry For the big drawing of the diamond earrings. I stayed and I won the diamond ...
We wanted a shorter trip and this one fit the bill. A day and a half at sea, 24 hours in a warm port (Cabo San Lucas), and another day and a half to get home.
The Ruby is spacious and well maintained. She is just in the process of switching over to Princess's Medallion system. Right now, all you can do is wave you cruise card at the medallion reader outside the cabin door.
The food was ...
Second time on Ruby and just as great as the first time. Everything was excellent. Embarkation/ Debarktion was great and we were on and off the ship and through the terminal both times in 30 min or less. The crew was great, the food in MDR was great, buffet was good but it is a buffet so don’t expect 5 star food. Room steward was wonderful and very on top of things. We love MUTS and we watched ...
What an amazing experience we had!
Embarkation – We drove to San Pedro from Phoenix. Started out around 0330, a couple of gas and restroom stops along the way. We did not have a hard time finding parking at all. We parked right across the terminal building. We got there around 0930, sat inside the terminal and waited until about 1030, when they started processing passengers. The staff ...
Enjoyed the warm weather. The Ruby is our favorite ship. Staff is friendly and professional. Relaxing in Skywalker with a book, sipping wine in The Vines or drinks in Cooners... so enjoyable. There is always a game of Trivia in one of the clubs... testing the memory and brain... lots of laugh. One can always be entertained with people watching or the activities the crew has on the fifth deck. ...
The ship and the itinerary were just what my wife and I wanted. We arrived a day early so we could poke around the shops/restaurants in Long Beach. Transfer to the ship was very easy. Our cabin was midship in case of stormy weather. We had a balcony and we spent quite a bit of time there watching the sea. Princess has equipped the rooms with new beds which slept very well. The ship has just ...
Background
We are Darren and Cindy in our late 40’s and early 50’s from Great Falls, Montana. We have been on 8 cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, and a California Pacific Coastal. We began looking for cruises in the late fall of 2018 for January 2019. Montana can be very cold and dark in the winter months and late January was an ideal week for us to travel in 2019. We were pretty set on ...
We live in Los Angeles and wanted a Cruise we could drive too.
Left our house in Encino and was on the ship one hour later. The service on the ship was a 10. All staff was very helpful and smiled. The ship was clean and crew always making it look spotless.
The food in the Horizon was much better than the reviews we read previously. Enjoyed it for breakfast and late snacks. If I have to ...
I chose this cruise since another cruise line didn’t have showers, but a high step into tubs n showers.
Embarkation was easy and no waiting around like my last cruise with Princess. Also Disembarked was as smooth this time around. I give them 5Stars grades.
The ship just came out of being rehab and is looking so improved since my last time aboard her.
Our cabin wasn’t very clean. I ...
I thought everything on the cruise was great. This was my first cruise, so I have nothing to compare it to. The food at the buffet was acceptable. I only ate at the buffet for breakfast. Nothing really spectacular, but nothing was poor either. The only issue I had with the Horizon buffet is finding a seat in the dining area. There are two sides for the buffet, and both sides are really busy ...
