We wanted a shorter trip and this one fit the bill. A day and a half at sea, 24 hours in a warm port (Cabo San Lucas), and another day and a half to get home.
The Ruby is spacious and well maintained. She is just in the process of switching over to Princess's Medallion system. Right now, all you can do is wave you cruise card at the medallion reader outside the cabin door.

Second time on Ruby and just as great as the first time. Everything was excellent. Embarkation/ Debarktion was great and we were on and off the ship and through the terminal both times in 30 min or less. Embarkation – We drove to San Pedro from Phoenix. Started out around 0330, a couple of gas and restroom stops along the way. We did not have a hard time finding parking at all. The ship and the itinerary were just what my wife and I wanted. We arrived a day early so we could poke around the shops/restaurants in Long Beach. Transfer to the ship was very easy. We live in Los Angeles and wanted a Cruise we could drive too.
Left our house in Encino and was on the ship one hour later. The service on the ship was a 10. All staff was very helpful and smiled. The ship was clean and crew always making it look spotless.

I chose this cruise since another cruise line didn’t have showers, but a high step into tubs n showers.
Embarkation was easy and no waiting around like my last cruise with Princess. Also Disembarked was as smooth this time around. I give them 5Stars grades.

I thought everything on the cruise was great. This was my first cruise, so I have nothing to compare it to. The food at the buffet was acceptable. I only ate at the buffet for breakfast.
