Pre cruise we stayed on the Grand Canal at the Hotel Santa Chiaria in Venice right off of Piazza Roma. What an amazing experience on the Ruby Princess transatlantic!! My biggest fear was the weather and Atlantic sea conditions. Turned out the ocean was as calm as the Caribbean.
