I was a little concerned when I read bad reviews of Mariner: poor service, poor food, outdated suites. The only thing correct in those reviews was the outdated suites, which are scheduled for refurbishment in March 2018. Overall service was superb. Restuarant service was excellent. This was a wonderful cruise. The first leg from Buenos Aires to Rio was port intensive with one sea day and a mix of cities and small seaside towns.
