The Grandeur was our first experience sailing on a Regent ship. When deciding upon the cruise line for our long-awaited transit of the Panama Canal, we selected Regent because had heard good things and we thought it would be fun to try a brand new ship. We were disappointed. The ship itself is a marvel, better than other luxury lines we have sailed. The public spaces are large and inviting. The ...
We have long wanted to transit the Panama Canal and the start of Regent's latest grand dame's career was the ideal opportunity. We left a wet and cold UK to find much the same in LA. We were on Splendour in July so the beauty of the ship was not a huge surprise. But Regent have managed to raise the bar again & not just with the beautiful Faberge egg on display.
Disappointments - Acapulco hadn't ...
1. We are platinum Regent travelers. And have taken cruises on many other ships too. Before covid we sailed on all the Regent ships, including the Mariner (8 yrs. ago). We did 2 cruises with the Splendor earlier this year, making up for lost time since the pandemic. Let me begin that we have been spoiled with the Explorer and now the Splendor. The Mariner is not the same ship we enjoyed years ...
This was our first time on Regent. (Previous cruises were on Princess and Holland America). We are signed up for the 2024 WC on the Mariner and wanted to test out Regent, the ship and the suite on a shorter cruise before committing to the full WC. We were fortunate to be able to get the same suite for both cruises so it was an apples to apples comparison. The public areas of the ship are beautiful ...
Very disappointed in Regent. Not the quality Regent experience we expected after highest recommendations from friends.
AIRPORT TRANSFER - baggage came quickly, then we waited over an hour for the transfer agent to take us to the bus.
PRE-CRUISE HOTEL - Beverly Wilshire was lovely. Large room with French doors out to a patio. Luxurious and excellent service. Regent breakfast was good but ...
Just back from a 12 day cruise “Hollywood/Mexico”. Have previously cruised on Explorer and Navigator.
My views are;
WELLCOME
Plastic and poor, like take a glass of warm Champagne and get on with it. No directions, no can I assist you or genuine smile
WINE
Appalling house wine. Cheapest of cheap. On previous Regent cruises premium wines were part of the package, anytime and anywhere ...
We are long time cruisers with over 20 cruises on several different cruise lines. Now that we are in our early to mid 60’s and retired, we decided to try Regent Seven Seas to see if it might be a fit for us (money being no object). We were excited to go on a ‘luxury all inclusive cruise’ that touts itself as ‘6 Stars’.
Our flight arrived in LAX and after collecting our luggage we waited for ...
We chose this cruise because we had our honeymoon on Seven Seas Mariner in 2014 and thought this itinerary was interesting. After eight years away, the Mariner has had a top to bottom refurb and the ship looks great! Service for the most part was wonderful - especially our cabin stewards and the observation lounge waiters/bar staff. Free laundry and pressing made packing much less ...
Regent, “an unrivaled experience” is one I have no intention of replicating. Here is a rundown:
1. Arrival at airport was disorganized. After waiting about 15 minutes in airport we waited about another 45 minutes at the curb.
2. Next morning at hotel, breakfast ended at nine am with checkout at noon then a wait of a further hour+ before bus to port. On the way to port the bus driver kept ...
This was a back to back cruise. There are many very good aspects to this ship. It’s small leading to great interaction between crew and passengers. Even the entertainers spent time with the passengers. The Captain was very accessible and courteous. The General Manager the same. The executive concierge helped us with several personal problems. The destination staff went out of the way to find ...
