The 98-passenger Corinthian is one of a fleet of five small ships owned, operated and staffed by Overseas Adventure Travel, which is part of the Grand Circle travel corporation. Launched in 1990, in 2014 the ice-strengthened vessel was acquired from Travel Dynamics International and underwent a full refurbishment the following year. It offers O.A.T.'s immersive small group vacations where passengers are divided into groups of 20 to 25 travelers for shore tours, each accompanied by a trip experience leader.

Corinthian Deck Plans Include Balcony Cabins

Following the $5 million refit, Corinthian offers a comfortable cruise experience in a variety of destinations.

All of the 49 outside cabins are at least 215 square feet and have a queen-size bed that can be converted to two twins, individual climate controls, mini-fridge, safe, telephone, TV, DVD/CD player, a sitting area and bathroom with shower. A roommate-matching service is available for solo travelers wanting to avoid paying a single supplement.

Onboard features include a restaurant -- where all passengers dine together on an open seating basis -- outdoor cafe, two lounges including one with panoramic windows, a shop, library and a sun deck with a hot tub. There is also a small medical clinic.

Corinthian has an elevator and there is free Wi-Fi.

Corinthian Sails in Antarctica and Europe

Corinthian offers the opportunity to explore Antarctica on two fully escorted itineraries from 13- to 16-nights which both start and end in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires and include flights to Ushuaia to being the voyage.

In Antarctica the itineraries aim to provide at least one Zodiac landing or cruise per day to maximize opportunities to spot wildlife. Corinthian also sails in Europe and itineraries include a 14-night cruise and land stay from Lisbon to Barcelona. All sailings include the option for pre- and post-cruise extensions.

Corinthian Stats

The ship measures 290 feet and carries 98 passengers at full occupancy with 56 crew members, plus a six-member expedition team on Antarctica voyages.

A Wonderful Voyage

Overall, we would highly recommend an OAT or GCT cruise vacation for anyone who enjoys great service and pleasant journeys. She was able to rejoin the group and take over the Leader's position half-way through the cruise and also did a great job.Read More

Nice.. but not worth the very high price of this trip.

The ship was very small (it dwarfed the huge cruise liners that went by us) and the sea was so rough that most people were sick. The ship (even though it was small) was actually really nice and clean.Read More
